Hacking wiiU 5.5.1E hacking options?

Hey guys!

I'm completely new to the wiiU hacking scene or whatever to call it.
After getting my ps vita setup with henkaku and the release of vitamin for backup playability I went to this forum section in hopes to get abit more up to date regarding my dusty wiiU.

I've tried looking into the stickies to see if I could solve my questions myself but wow, there's just too much and I can barely understand it at all, I'm no wizkid.

What are my options with what I think is my firmwire 5.5.1E?
Homebrew?
Custom firmware?
Can I download games from online and install them into my wiiU? (Is that a legal question on this forum?)

I'm sorry if I offend someone asking these questions, I know search function, I know stickies, I'm not lazy just dumb.

You can backup your disc games (and eshop titles that you have purchased) and play them with Loadiine GX2. (but not online)
You can run Homebrew Launcher from a website and then load homebrew in elf format (on your SD card)

Loadiine will also play games that have been downloaded from the web. Just don't ask us where to get these games.

The Wii U "hack" (kernel exploit) is initiated from within the Wii U browser. You can visit an online website to do this (loadiine.ovh) or self host the webpage at home (using my AIO in the stickies). In either case to launch loadiine you need to have your SD card set up properly. Also the hack is temporary. Once you reboot you're back to normal Wii U.

There is no CFW for Wii U yet.

That should get you started.

So in order to begin,
1. I should setup my SD card, I didnt even know wiiU had an sd card, where is this located or do I need to buy one and install it?
2. Go to loadiine.ovh (everytime i bootup wiiU?) to install the hack
3. with this Im able to get homebrews and loadiine?

I tried looking into the stickies again but shit, there's so much stuff to read up on. Is there like a condensed guide step by step for dumbasses?

You can setup a wiiu SD card without a PC also... if you insert any formatted SD into your wiiu and then browse to www.wiiubru.com/go it will load the homebrew appstore from there you can install HBL (required) and any other apps you need... from there you need a exploit hosting site , as kafluke mentioned.

I cannot find any SD card on my wiiU, once I find it however it needs to be formatted fat32? then inside the wiiu browse to wiiubru.com/go download the essential files, then go to loadliine.ovh then enjoy ?

yeah , there are several methods ... but we are trying to remove the PC from the equation with regards to homebrew... insert SD and off you go..
loadiine is a good link , we also have www.wiiubru.com and www.wiiubru.com/x directly load the homebrew launcher one you have it setup.

Okey, I managed to google where the SD card slot was and it had no SD card so.. Can I use a microsd card with an adapter or it must be a special memory card in this slot?
Didn't find any big ones at home.

It can be a microSD in an SD adaptor, I use one and it works perfectly.

I suppose a 16gb memory card won't be able to stay in the match for long huh?

I guess, I'll have to start there seeing I'm broke, haha!
So Just insert SD card into my computer (laptop) format32 with windows, then place sd card into wiiu - open the browser and point it towards the link you provided then I'm basically good to go?

ok there may be SD card probelms dependant on the quality of it , but lets cross that bridge if we struggle.

You can download one of these : http://www.wiiubru.com/appstore/starterkit/ and install it to your SD card via your PC (if the website fails you)

if you manage to hit www.wiiubru.com/go and launch the appstore... be sure to install HBL and HBAS..

Then you can try any of the exploit pages listed above.

no regular formatting is fine. DNS protection is advised , and to be really safe .. self hosting of the exploit.. the protection is to block firmware updates . Right here and now theres nothing planned and your safe to try the exploit , but it is advised to configure your connection to the exploit to be safe..

Tubehax is a preventative measure to avoid unwanted updates. It doesn't matter if you have it enabled or not when trying to launch an exploit online. Personally I keep my wii u off the internet all together by self hosting. It guarantees I can still play my homebrew apps even if my Internet goes down. Also loadiine.ovh works great as long as you have good Internet and not too many hops between where you live and where the site is hosted. Another advantage of hosting a local site with your PC or your Android phone.

You need to have your SD set up to use either online or self hosting. The AIO has everything you need in one package. The files to self host and also the SD folder. You can use the files in the SD folder and then go online if you want.

There's a txt file with instructions inside of the AIO zip. It explains everything.
