There's new systems bundled with games in easier exploitable versions. It's not that rare. Keep in mind dsidg costs the price of the game.

In what price? Ninty's refubrished cost 170$. Plus 5$ its still less then any n3ds that I can find on ebay that I know for sure is on exploitable ver.

The most explotable firmware at this moment is Firmware is 9.2. I don't recommend anything later than that.

For brand new listings, if you don't want the seller to open it, you can ask for the serial number found on the box and compare it with this list. You can also get lucky and find some listings with a photo of the serial (yeah, they definitely know what's up).

Some sellers will be hesitant with supplying that info, so you might want to add that you only need the first four numbers following the two letters. You also want to make sure that the unit is new and not refurbished since that likely means it's been updated to the firmware.

Giving the latest exploitable version is 11.0 with the right tools I'd say yes. It should be around 10.3-10.5.
