If you boot to Hourglass9 on boot, you're good to go. Even if you screw up and restore a NAND backup that's not from your Nintendo, you can still boot A9LH. So, do a NAND backup, save it in case you screw up, and restore the backup you have xD

Holding start(or what ever button it was set to in the version of the guide you used) should open hourglass9. Sysnand options/sysnand backup and restore and then just restore and select your nand bsckup. Done.

Get the hourglass9 .bin file.
Rename your current arm9loaderhax.bin on your sd card to something else(doesn't matter).
Rename the hourglass9 .bin file to arm9loaderhax.bin and put it on the sd card's root.
Insert in 3ds.
Boot 3ds.
???
Profit.

Edit: now just restore your backup, rename the both files back to normal and you are good to go.

Do you have a nand.bin file on your sd card in a folder called /files9/? Any variation of nand (like sysnand or Emunand or nand sys) is also possible.

I have up_emunand.bin,x_godmode.bin,y_gw.bin and just a file that says nand
You should put your nand backup in files9 folder if your hourglass is updated. Then it will be able to find your backup.
