I'm getting my N3DS XL tomorrow, hopefully on a firmware below 11.0. Does this update affect my ability to downgrade/get the luma cfw in any way?

do 11.1 can still downgrade via hardmod ?
In theory, but for now no since it isn"t a working Homebrew Entry Point for the moment. You need to wait the fix of all of them first.
@LysergCooltyp If the console are in 10.7.0-32 you need to block DNS, or in your router or other possible way the servers to don"t trigger the Internet Browser nag. If is in 11.0.0-33 System Transfer needs that the console is in lastest Firmware.

So many people not reading the thread and asking the same questions. Sigh.

It seems that ctr-httpwn is working fine now but I still keep getting stuck on "Parsing config..." with menuhax so I should look into that. It's probably unrelated.

If by that you're asking whether or not a New 3DS XL will make a difference, then no. In fact, you're probably better off with one of those. If it's lower than 11.0, even better. Mine was when I bought it earlier in the year but I had to update to do the system transfer. I didn't think to look into hacking it before that because I thought it would interfere with the transfer (it probably wouldn't, from my understanding). I feel so dumb now, so I'm not updating beyond 11.0 until I can hack it fully.

The only thing we can really do now is just sit patiently and wait for a new release or something along those lines. Not like us not having homebrew and ect renders our 3ds's useless. Play a game relax and stay calm. It's bound we get an exploit eventually. Always happens and always will happen. Look how long people had to wait until iOS 9.2 was able to be jailbroken xD it happened though! Patience is a virtue.

I stupidly updated the emunand to this firmware because a guy on another forum wrote that this firmware was required to play with the latest Phoenix Wright and that his gateway worked just fine with that. I found out the hard way that that is not true, now when I press select nothing happens. Now, how do I roll back to the latest working emunand? Or do I simply wait for the gateway team to release a new firmware for their card?

make sure tyou're using the latest launcher.dat. try a secondary custom firmware too.

Does Rxtools 3.0 beta work? I'm on 9.2 Sysnand and 11.0 Emunand
Please use a newer CFW that isn't dead

:o i'm too lazy to change the emunand
CFW's are only a means of reading the NAND, not writing to it. You can change CFW's on the fly without effecting your NANDS.
