Wow. I got really excited, about the same type of excitement when I got the Wii U kernel exploit working. I now get to make my pointless, horrible and childish levels on the go! :^)

It looks like a reasonably solid investment. There was nothing in the Direct that really blew me away, but a lot of things that fell into the 'I'll pick it up if it's on sale' category.

My mind was literally blown when I saw this in the direct. I didn't expect to see it at all honestly.. hooo crap man, the hype is real :3

I don't get the hype? It's just a watered down verstion of the WiiU game.

I guess it's nice for those who don't have a WiiU.
It's because this is a portable version.
Many homebrew developers tried to recreate this game on the 3DS, but none can make it as perfect as Nintendo itself.

Looks like another limited, slopeless adventure that'll only produce countless auto levels. This time complete with lowrez sprites.

I just realised how watered down the 3DS version of Mario Maker is going to be. You can't upload your levels (local play only) and you can only play what WiiU users have made and the mario challenge. You can't use costumes either and not all Wii U levels will be compatible.

They did say you can upload levels you create, you just can't search for users to find their levels.
