Sony has announced that its game streaming service, PlayStation Now, will be coming to Windows PCs this fall. Playstation Now is a monthly based subscription service, which lets users stream Playstation 3 games over the internet. This announcement comes alongside the reveal of a new $24.99 DualShock 4 adapter, which lets you officially connect your controller to your PC, without use of third party drivers.

Here are the recommended specs for running PS Now on your PC:

  • Windows 7 (SP1), 8.1 or 10
  • 3.5 GHz Intel Core i3 or 3.8 GHz AMD A10 or faster
  • 300 MB or more; 2 GB or more of RAM
  • Sound card; USB port

I had a free trial for a month, and used it on my PS4 and Vita. Vita's wifi chip is pretty bad, but the streaming was acceptable. Ethernet PS4 worked near flawlessly. Was really surprised how well it worked.

PS Now worked great with my Vita, other than the occasional lag. Can't use it on my Vita though since I've been using it for henkaku, so ps now on PC is great for me. Also, does anyone know if ps now on PC will work with a DS3 or another controller other than DS4?

To each to their own I guess, but you cannot ignore Mac users since they do make up a good percentage of people.
If by "good percentage" you mean something like a whole 8% of the market share where Windows dominates at around 85%, sure.

As for PS Now, neat I guess. Game list nowadays seems to be more PS3 exclusives, so that's good for people who never bothered with a PS3 and have an average internet connection.

Yeah I was invited to the German Beta a few months back (god we're far behind).
My internet isn't the greatest but hot damn the lag was nearly non existent.
I hope PC players will finally be able to enjoy Demon's Souls.

There goes my reason to buy a PS3. Uncharted, The Last of Us, Ratchet & Clank, Disgaea, Eternal sonata (non-beta), all the good exclusives! Probably will just buy 1-2 month and binge play then if I can.
