I shall answer these in the order of importance
Homebrew is a custom OS that you put onto your 3DS in order to run custom, user-made applications. To use the save editor, you need this. For more information, google 3dbrew, and for any further questions about the topic, go to this thread: (which is the only noob topic I can find on the matter, even though it's in the custom frameworks section. If anyone bites you for asking about homebrew there, tell them to PM me a better place to send newbies lol)

To run the save editor, you don't actually need cfw, but that stands for custom firmware, just FYI. (I thought it meant custom frameworks and got scolded, lol.)
In order to GET your saves, however, you need a save manager, like that of JKSM (Also linked to in the first post.) You will need homebrew to run it, but the program itself is pretty self-explanatory. Just remember that you need to export extdata, NOT save data. MHG doesn't actually have save data because they didn't want players using Power Saves.
Thank you in advance. Also, what is homebrew and cfw?

"Save Editor" is self-explanatory. It edits your save files for Monster Hunter Generations. It is a PC-run .exe file which you can download in this topic.I don't know what you mean by Save editor, or how I import and export files.
