Hardware 99% ram usage since Windows 10 anniversary update.

I am using a I5 6600k + R9 290 and 16GB DDR4 hyperx memory. The 99% usage is annoying and is causing some mayor slowdowns in my system, the problem is that i'm not seeing any programs that are using my left over ram.

with or without chrome, it goes to 99% after a while.

that's weird. is your sticks bad? does windows see 16 GB of usable ram? i have no clue why this happens

It sees the 16GB, this also happend on w10 but it was fixed by disabling some setting. (which i already disabled on this update)

When you don't see the processes taking up your system resources, that means it's a driver or the kernel itself that's taking up the resources. My guess is one of your drivers is not playing nicely with the update. Update your drivers to the latest version from the manufacturer's website (not your PC manufacturer but the manufacturer of the chips themselves as they usually have more up to date drivers)
Do you have any extra hardware installed/connected (other than the standard things that all PCs have and common things like USB HDDs and mice etc)? If so try disconnecting them and seeing if the problem goes away.

Already updated all my drivers, only things i atm have plugged in are the razer naga and the razer blackwidow and 2 screens

I assume they have custom drivers, if so that could be the issue, it's just a guess though.
Sometimes updates just break stuff and the only fix is to uninstall the update or reset/refresh Windows.

Yeah that's definitely not normal, is there any way to roll back to the previous version of Windows at all? I mean you don't need to necessarily, but it may have to be done as a last resort. Memory leaks can be a pain ><

nope, it gave an error so prob a reinstall later today

It would be good if you could list ALL process running in the backgroud. There's definitely something eating all the ram on its own.

its already sorted from highest to lowest, and it doesnt say what processes are eating the ram.

There are background processes as well. There is no way that one list in OP takes all the RAM

Like I said, it's either the kernel or a driver eating up all the RAM, that's why it's not showing up.

This is a link to Microsoft's PoolMonitor tool. You can use it to see where your ram is going and which exact process/processes are using it (making it useful in your case for determing whether it is a driver/kernel issue) :-

Do you know what all of those services that are running are for. you should go to settings then go to update and security then choose recovery theres a option that lets you keep your files but reinstalls windows so please try that it may take a while but that's my only advice
