So I'd been playing Bravely Second for a while, got about 10 hours in, and had attempted to "update my info" a couple of times, with a message telling me that I can't go online with this game. I didn't really care at first, but I realized I needed to access this feature to get needed bonuses. I gave the game a public header, then changed the extension to 3dz. Didn't make a copy first. I should have..... Save was not recognized. I looked this up and found that the save is attached to the header. There was a possible solution using SaveDataFiler, but it's a little late for that. Any way to fix this?

As long as your save wasn't overwritten, you can change it back to .3ds and dump the save.

RAW Save data (.sav) that Gateway uses is associated with the header like you said, so your savedata can only be played with an empty header (which is what Gateway assumes for non .3dz extension), it might be too late, but as long as you don't let Gateway write the .sav you should still keep your progress intact in your SD card, changing the ROM back to .3ds should do the trick, though, if you let Gateway overwrite your save (by propely exiting the game) then you're screwed.

EDIT: Welp Ninja'd
