Good day everyone. I have some problems with P4G and it would be great if someone help.
I'm a weird one. I wanna full Japanese version of game. I copy all data files to the patch folder.
Well its works. But i have some glitches: video plays euro version, missing text, weird textures, sometimes game english text.
So I'm interesting is it even possible to have full Japanese version or just undub and if yes how ?

The English version has too many differences compared to the Japanese version, and what you're trying to do is never going to work correctly. If you really want to play in Japanese, you'll have to play the real Japanese version.
The English text is because of text stored in the eboot.bin, and the English cutscenes are because the English version's cutscenes use a different video container, and thus have different filenames.

Here's a guide on how to generate your own CSV from a dumped CPK, which you can use to tell cpkmakec.exe what files need to be compressed for the game to run properly. Sorry about the video quality, I'm waiting on my PSTV to get delivered before I can get any decent footage of these mods.

Excuse my ignorance, but exactly how extensive is this? could texture mods be done?

If so, Senran Kagura here I come ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

My first guess is that the console version of those games uses a different engine (hopefully a port of it, but I doubt it) than Kirikiri which the PC versions use, so no. Tell us more when you have them extracted though.

Well in my case with Hyperdimension Neptunia rebirth 1 once I got into the cpk files the files were the same as the pc files. While I doubt you could just drop it in like I can (since mine are not patch files but rather direct assets) there should be a way to convert that patch to the format that the files are in provided the files in the cpk are the same as the pc version.

Hope that makes sense

Okay guy, after an ETERNITY I'm finally back. Looking inside my game doesn't even have a data.cpk file. It has a allpak.cpk and voice.cpk file. Haha...I'm a completely noob with Windows CMD. I can't get cpk_unpack to unpack anything. This is just from my own ignorance though. Can someone tell me how to do it? Also the game's .cpk files are located in images folder and not data folder. The only thing the data folder has is two icon pics

Yeah, if you know the format of the textures, or anything really, you can change it now.

What region of the game do you own? If it's not US the CSV file from earlier might not work.
I own the US version I used the xdelta patch should I try extracting and rebuilding the cpk manually?

I assume it is possible. I've dumped the texture files from Hyperdimension Neptunia and made edits. I got the modified files repacked (uncompressed) in the proper patch folder but either

A) the game fails to load into a dungeon (with compression)

B) the game loads and doesn't apply the new files

C) the game refuses to run at all after a reboot/db rebuild claiming that HDN is trying to launch molecule

I've tried both the sce_sys from molecule and HDN both with no luck. It's possible I repacked the wrong files or didn't change the correct texture but I doubt it. Might also be my save file idk. Gonna test more when I get home from school. Let me know if you figure out anything with Senran.

I ran myself into a bit of a wall with this. I have the CPK compiled, and checked the md5, and they all match. I transferred the CPK file over to the Vita, along with the sce_sys folder from moleculeShell. Also rebuilt the database. After booting and triggering HENkaku, I put the card in, and it prompts that it cannot install, because there is already a moleculeShell icon. I tried everything again, but this time used the sce_sys folder from my dump, and this throws up an error C2-10520-8. Any recommendations for me?

Delete sce_sys from patch folder. Take out the cart, then reinsert it again. Start the game. Quit it. Reinsert moleculeshell's sce_sys into patch folder. Start the game.

Still have no clue on how I'm supposed to use cpk_unpacker. Windows CMD tells me cpk_unpacker isn't recognized and I even downloaded a different cpk unpacker zip and when the command line pops up it crashes. The command line says "unhandled exception. Unable to read beyond the" can't read the rest. Sigh. This is beyond difficult for me

I try just running it and nothing. I drag and drop any .cpk file I can find in my decrypted game files and still nothing.

You need to look up a primer on how the command prompt works and you probably shouldn't just be grabbing cpk unpackers from random sites.

Your game might also be using an unsupported variant of the cpk format.

I see. I mainly used the one provided in the tutorial by S1cp. But I think my files might be unsupported. But how would I look up how the command prompt works?

I'm at a complete loss at this point. I've tried three times to replace these textures. I double checked my cpk and I did pack the right files in the right spot. I got the modded cpk in a "data" folder just as it should be... I'm tired.

I wonder... the official update uses the name "PATCH.cpk" so perhaps I should call my modded GAME2.cpk that
