Do u need cfw?

I only have homebrew on 11.0.0.33U. I export my save using extdata_dump and edit the save just fine but I seem to be having trouble importing.

I get the error saying copying failed :(

Life would have been easier if you were on cfw. Smh

Yep, I started up the game before everything, created a character and slept in the bed to save. So, I have save data.

Edit: JKSM.3dsx is in the "3ds" folder of my SD card, is this right? It's the only file I have, from the Github, or do I need more?

Edit2: The export worked for the Ocarina of Time cartridge (but not Monster Hunter Generations), but only once. I don't know why it worked once but doesn't work every other try.
You need JKSM.3dsx and JKSM.xml in the same folder together. If MHG doesn't allow it to boot, you can target any title that does work and hold L + R at boot to get into the same menu that CIA version uses to access MHG’s extdata until someone makes an XML file for it.

Can you send me your save over PM?

No clue
I have the same issue. I have previously edited my file, and it works great. When I load it into your save editor, everything seems fine. Then, if I try to save the file it gives the same error. Unsigned. It will give me this error even if I don't change anything.

@Bren1003
It's in the release zip. Copying the 3ds folder to your SD's root should work. I accidentally moved it instead of copying it when I made the zip.

Alright uploaded v0.02

Changes:
-Added color changer under general tab
-Fixed an issue with Hunter Arts being casted as a byte instead of UInt16 causing people to have save errors
-Fixed an issue where i forgot to save the play time

What save manager works if u dont have cfw? Everything goes fine for me til I need to restore the save with the modified save.

What exdata save manager could I use?

- I just (today) installed Homebrew (oot3dhax) (firmware 11.0.0.33e)
- I'm not using any flash card (like Gateway-3DS or SKY3DS).
- I'm using the physical copy (cartridge) of MHG.

svdt doesn't work for exdata, I read.
I can't run CIA tools like JK's SaveManager and SaveDataFiler right?

I'm really in need for some help.
Why did you update to 11.0?

If you don't have a CFW, you can use JK's Save Manager

Oh right, I also need help getting the list of equipment IDs and hunter art IDs

How do u put the cia file on the sd? I dont have cfw so I cant install it using a cia manager or whatever. I dont know what to make it show up on my ds menu or homebrew menu.

You don't have to put the .cia on the sd. Just copy the 3ds folder and the other folder I think.

I know its just my opinion and am in no way against homebrew apps but save editors really ruin online games like this cheating cheapens the point of monster hunter...
Pirating games also "ruin developers"
Stop with the moralfaggotry gbatemp

Hey, APM, have you tried editing a palico's moves and skills, then bringing it on a quest? Do the equipped moves/skills stay equipped?

Also, are there available DLCs right now?

There's a few ingame restrictions preventing anything too extreme on the palicos apparently.

Im confused. Where do u put the cia file on the 3ds.
Can u give steps? Im new to all this, I apologize.

CIA file is used only for CFW systems. For non-CFW, you use the 3dsx file in conjunction with Homebrewmenu
