Hey GBATemp. I've been thinking about downgrading my (10.3) n3DS and installing Emunand and all that jazz, but I'm unsure on a couple of things:

- Is there an updated method of downgrading? The last one I saw was like six months ago, and I haven't really kept up with the news, and I know things get blocked, new stuff comes out ect. I'll probably rely on browserhax, but I have no idea if that'll work anymore.

- I'm tempted to do this on my default mSD (4GB) and transfer it over to my mSD that I ordered online (64GB) I'm wondering if it's more tedious to do it this way? Should I just wait?

1- yes, there is follow this guide to downgrade your 3ds to 9.2 and install an emunand, and if you wish to go further, you can install the new thing, arm9loaderhax, which makes your 3ds hacks unpenetrable and permanent, and make them run on boot time
2-I would use the 64 gb one
https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki
Follow this word by word and in the end you'll have a nicely hacked 3ds.
It's a really nice guide, I used it to install a9lh to over 30 consoles :)

As above: do it on your 64GB SD (remember to format as Fat32) because it is tricky to do on a 4GB card, you'll be constantly at risk of running out of space during NAND backups. So you have to unplug and replug your SD from the console to the computer a lot more to transfer files off. Plus you'll have to delete all your data off the card to make room (backing it up to put back later). Much less trouble on a 64GB where you can leave everything on there and only plug into your computer when you actually need stuff on your computer. And you can keep all your files, not need to trim down the homebrew starter kit etc.

Goddamnit. Either my 3DS auto updated or I somehow updated it by accident. On 11 now I want to cry. :(

well, I still have RXTools on my old 3DS. That's... Neat.

didn't you follow the guide?
if you would have follow the guide, it would never had happened because you would either have menuhax or arm9loaderhax, which makes it super hard for an acidental upgrade.
now hardmod and downgrade.
also remove the rxcacer from your o3ds and put in there at least luma3ds

Nah, my SD arrived today and I was setting it up, and somewhere along the way my 3DS was updated and I'm not sure how. This was before even trying to hack it so I guess it was my fault.

I don't think I'd hardmod. Sounds far too risky and technical. I'd rather wait another potentially long while for something new to come out.

As for my o3DS, I'm a big believer of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" so I'm fine with my current set up. It's just annoying because I'd rather play on a much larger screen, and my o3DS is damged from five years worth of use lol.
