Homebrew Oot3dHax on 11.0?

btw oothax is comepletely fixed.you don't even need the files from this forum. all you need to do is reinstall the hax and make sure all the main homebrew files are up to date. (what i mean by reinstall oothax, i mean the save through powersaves if your using a hard copy. i got it to work on my own. plus no yellow screens or errors or freezing.

If I try to trigger the exploit like I used to (move Link to the map and only then press A), the game crashes. Just try spamming A from the moment you load your savefile and see if it works.
I'm currently trying to run HB on an O3DS with 11.0-33E, and it just kept crashing after pressing the Ocarina icon, but spamming A worked, thanks a lot man! :D

Your welcome, just follow the directions below and you should be able to do it.:)

Did you make sure your using the right files for the system? Yes, each one is for new 3ds and old 3ds.
Start by doing this
  1. Insert Legend of zelda Ocarina of time into your system.
  2. Start the game and hold A,B,X,Y
  3. A menu to format the system will load upon boot, proceed to confirm format game card.
  4. Download this archive.https://gbatemp.net/attachments/oot3dhax_11_0-zip.54167/
  5. *Extract the archive that reperesents your setup and put the files in the folders on to the sd card with cfw (Homebrew enabled)
  6. Use the latest version of FBI installer 2.3.2 Or the SVDT (I used fbi) And inject the "SAVE00.BIN" And "PAYLOAD.BIN" Files to the game card. Leave the system.bin, it belongs there.
  7. Download the homebrew starter pack from here. https://smealum.github.io/ninjhax2/starter.zip
  8. Extract the contents and put it on the sd card. Make sure the "BOOT.3DSX" file is on the root of the sdcard (Not iniside any folders) And that there is a 3DS folder on there too (DO not confuse with "NINTENDO 3DS Folder, as they both serve different Purposes)
  9. Insert game card into the any 3ds with firmware 11.0.0-33, and proceed to load the save file hax as normal and press A button.
  10. WELCOME TO THE HOMEBREW:)
For step 5 Please note there are 3 folders, USA EUR JAN Inside is NEW OLD folders. Use the one that represents your setup. For example i use a USA OLD so i would use that, But depending on the system and country you are, it may be different. Check system menu for what system you have

By looking at the firmware version (Mine is 11.0.0-33-U) the letter will tell you what region your system is.
USA = U (NTSC-U)
EUR = E (PAL-E)
JAP = J (NTSC-J)

In addition to the system the old and new ones are as followed.
Old = Nintendo 3ds, Nintendo 2ds, Nintendo 3ds XL
New = NEW Nintendo 3ds, NEW Nintendo 3ds XL
This should be obvious and not needed to be explained but why not?:ninja:
Holding ABXY does nothing for me. Do I have to do it on a specific screen or in a specific order or something?

Yes, and it didn't show up in-game.
Well the file in the archive is the hax save file. It should be slot one on the save screen. The game has to be formatted, no other save files should exist other than the slot one haxx file

If your using fbi installer 2.3.2 or any save manager, the file structure on the game card should look like this.
Save00.bin
Payload.bin
System.bin

If thats how it looks it should work.:unsure:

I got the save file to work, but it has the exact same results as before. It just restarts the system.

Download this archive, copy the folder to the 3ds on your 3ds with homebrew, and load the oothax installer (HAS THE WOODEN SHIELD NOT HYLIAN SHIELD) Then select the old 11.0.0 USA.

I just tested this myself.

Don't forget to erase save game first.

If it don't work i don't know what to tell you.

It worked! :D Turns out I was using the old installer. :P

I'm having difficulties getting Oot3dHax to work as well. I'm on 11.0.0.33U with a New 3DS XL, and I had a similar issue where I couldn't boot into the freakyhax fix as well. When I run Oot3dhax, the game crashes and I get the "An error has occurred forcing the software to close. The system will now restart." error. I used Powersaves to transfer the newest 6-26-16 release to my cartridge and it looks fine. I've also tried various combos of the starter files and boot.3dsx files to no avail (http://i.imgur.com/rbi3q1k.jpg).

I went on #3dsdev to get some help but I'm not sure if there is something that screwed up when I initially ran freakyhax a week ago. I was able to get it to the boot sector screen with the ropbin text but then my 3DS froze on that screen and never finished booting into the Homebrew menu (I think the bottom screen may have been very dark greenish?). I rebooted my 3DS and afterward I could never get freakyhax to launch that boot screen (someone said something about "getting the boot sector going") and tried multiple different file combos, save resets, etc.

I thought Oot3dhax would work in my case, but I've gotten the same crashing error. I used my Powersaves to copy over the C2 image of US N3DS_U_25600_usa_9221 and it looks good from what I can tell and runs all the way up until I pull out the ocarina and freezes. I'm wondering if due to that initial time that I tried to boot/install Homebrew channel and my 3DS froze, that I'm running into all these problems. Any help would be great.

So oothax installer got updated? Great news, no more injecting the payload manually for v11.0 using SVDM or fBI.
