After I installed arm9loaderhax strictly following this guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki
is it safe to switch the theme without anything breaking? Menuhax configuration to boot into homebrew launcher is still there when I configured it to d-pad down, could changing the theme break this?

edit: when I boot without holding d-pad down it boots into homemenu normally with arm9loaderhax

when booting with button held down boots into homebrew launcher

You could ditch Menuhax for the A9LH version of the bootloader, and not have to worry about themes breaking menuhax. As you have your stuff now, I think menuhax would break, unless you're changing themes on an unlinked Emunand.

Someone said arm9loaderhax replaces menuhax is there a reason why the configuration button (when booting) still works?

Depending on what you did, it could have cloned with the Emunand clone, or it's just installed still. If you want it gone, you could just use the menuhax manager to delete it, or just change the theme. Hopefully someone who knows more jumps in here eventually, because I don't really know if what I'm saying is 100% accurate.
Although you shouldn't need an Emunand or anything like that if you followed the guide, unless you're not using updated Sysnand.

Yeah but it's like buying new clothes, sure they replace the old ones, but if you put them on over the old ones you now have a pair of extra clothes on for no reason

Just get rid of the old clothes by changing theme, menuhax won't work if/when you update to 11.0 anyway

The guide had me updating to to latest version 11.0 it is after that everything is installed and updated that launching homebrew via menuhax works hence why I am confused.

https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-3-(RedNAND)
part 3 of this guide has me update rednand through system settings is this the problem?
Well this is why menuhax still works on boot as sysnand is probably still on 9.2, idk what plailects guide has people doing now days but I assume most people want to be using updated sysnand mode, not using menuhax and emunand while having a9lh installed, so I assume you must have skipped something

part 3 has you update rednand and make a backup of emunand_original.bin and in part 5 after arm9loaderhax is installed has you restore from the backup made in part 3

Well there should be a point where you format SD to remove emunand, and I assume they intend for that emunand backup to be restored to sysnand via hourglass9

Sys stands for sysNAND so basically your sysNAND is on 11.0 already
If it is on 11.0 is menuhax suppose to work still? gamesquests1 says it would break?
its sys instead of ver meaning it is is cfw sysnand as I followed the plailcent guide

menuhax has been patched since 10.6 and thus it wont work on 10.6 and up.

Because I configured menuhax to boot into hbl when d-pad down is pressed. It has managed to still work after a9lh installation and update why is that?
(boots normally into home menu with a9lh when nothing is pressed, boots into hbl when config button is pressed)

No idea. Why use menuhax anyway? a9lh is far more superior to menuhax.
