This thread is probably pointless, and in the wrong section, but I couldn't get my email app to refresh at all (Gmail) so I reset the app and I get "An error has occurred. (C2-14383-0). I've looked up the code and found nothing, even on the wiki. I live in the southern US, and was wondering if it's down for just me or not.

The weird thing? I can login to the email on the computerand my phone, and when I try logging into my primary email on the Vita, I get the same error. When I put in random info and try logging in, I get the same info. I'verebuilt the database, took out the memory card, deletedmy wifi, and same error code. So is the app just down? It's been a little over an hour and nothing.

Did you try backing up data such as apps and savedata (but not the entire memory card via the full backup option), then formatting both the memory card and the system, and trying again? (Although you could just try formatting the memory card first so it lowers your chances of having to re-link and re-activate your Vita).

I have not yet, so I'm guessing yours is loading just fine? Guess I'll format the memory card.

My Vita's email app is working perfectly at the moment. However I heard 3 cases of people with the email app getting the C2-14383-0 error today, and I really don't know whether it is a coincidence or not... (All cases are in USA afaik)
In my honest opinion, it's just a coincidence, and should be fixable still! I find it hard to believe that Sony would be able to block mail app access for lower FW users.

Count me in. As I said on the other thread, tried the Gmail (with the Allowing less secure On), Yahoo, and even my Hotmail to no avail. The Gmail and Yahoo gave me the error C2-14391-0, and the Hotmail was added but cannot receive any incoming emails. I also happened to receive the PS Vita from repair today, and already formatted the system and memory card prior to setting up the e-mail. I'll try formatting it again.

You're not in the US, but Europe, right? Are these cases here on the forums? I find it hard that they could block it in lower firmware as well. I guess it would stop exploits though... I wish other people in the US here would chime in. I appreciate how active you are here on these forums. (: I just wonder if others in the US are having troubles.

I sent the eboot to myself to exploit my Vita and couldn't get the app to refresh, logged out and nothing. Same thing everytime. Surely the servers aren't down or the problem would be more prominent on forums?

Are you in the US? What firmware? On 3.15 here, but if you're n latest, then it's server trouble probably. I was just about to hack mine and the email wouldn't refresh and boom. Same error whatever I type in. I can add a yahoo too but can't receive/send. Exact problems...

I'm actually also in the US. Moved here 2 years ago lol. Mine is in 3.15. I'm in the process of formatting my Vita now. Will inform back later.

Nope, no dice. Just reformatted my Vita, twice (from the menu, and also from safe mode), also reformatted my memory card. Still the same error when adding the email address.

I assume Sony just blocked it then... because someone else had the same issue on theirs and they had their friend try it on theirs and it worked... wow..

Well I am running firmware 3.51, however that is not the firmware I got the same error on. I got the error you guys had when I was also on 3.15, just before I updated to 3.30.

I swear I had fixed the issue, and another same incident earlier on, but I am honestly really unsure on how I had fixed it.

I guess time will tell to see if many, many others get the same sort of problem as you guys!

It's just rather odd that all of a sudden it would not work for multiple users :( even for people with hacked Vita's this isn't good. I just don't understand.

By the by, I formatted the card and system as well, no dice. Same error. :(

I guess my assumption that the email exploits are not working on 3.18 and lower were right. Too bad as TNX is something I am not giving up at this moment.

How could Sony block it though???

Is there any way to update to a higher firmware and still install tn-v?

How many instances of these have occured in the past days?
It just started today for me and a few other users. It just gives the same C2-14393-0 error. Google leads to dead ends and no reason code for the error, and it gives me the same error even on my real GM account, Yahoo account and when I out in spam and try signing in. Same error...

Went to a store that had a demo unit on the shelf and it was 3.51. Tried out the email app and it does allow it to sync up. So I will say either something is wonky with 3.18 and lower starting from yesterday or possibly sony did block access to the email app on 3.18 and lower. Either way, I rather lose the email exploits where tnx and game folder writes are more important.

Does Vita allows system update from certain games? I kinda just got my Vita yesterday lol. Tough luck.

EDIT: Upon googling, I found a method to update Vita's firmware manually. I'll try to update past 3.18 to see which firmware is affected. Will report back later.
