Gaming 7th Dragon III CODE: VFD

I downloaded it via Shameless and then CIAngel. I tried to decrypt it via Decrypt9WIP and seeddb.bin but it failed, and I'm not sure what to do next.

What did it say when it failed, out of curiousity?

Seven or eight. I forget. Then there's the super hard postgame dungeon.

It's probably more helpful to measure by level - you'll be about level 70 at the final boss.

That extra dungeon is quite a nasty surprise. I'll admit that I didn't expect it. At all.

Yeah and I wonder what kind of new challenge they're going to add via DLC because that dungeon's boss is pretty much the hardest in the whole game.
Plus you get the best weapons and lots of money there.

I kind of cheesed that boss with two God Hands and back row filled with Destroyers. Drop dragon egg, Null Action, unleash six earthquakes, rinse and repeat. He couldn't even touch me.

My main team was Godhand, Duelist and Agent but my 2nd and 3rd teams were only Rune Knights.
All that's required is to survive 3 turns then use 6 Brave Swords and 3 ex skills.

What level were you? I was 82 + reclass bonuses.

The Duelist is actually (surprisingly) better than mage. I never really could figure out how to use Agents properly. The hack status effect is too hard to inlflict on bosses.

Main team on lv99 without any reclass bonus, the others above lv90, some with little bonus because they weren't all Rune Knights before.

That would explain the discrepancy, then. I may have been a bit...uh, undergrinded. Is 99 the maximum, btw?

yep. Though I think gear makes more difference than exp lvls there.
Plus even if you're lv99 that boss can wreck your whole team easily.

His attacks are literally oneshot. Going in with anything less than the best possible gets you killed immediately if he gets an attack in. And even then...

The part afterwards just left me kind of cold, though. I did it twice just to see.

Hmm I believe it could fix the first part (the 1.6 GB one) but it failed the second part, the really small one. All in all it said failed. I got my seeddb.bin from that titlekey website.
I guess I'll ask around on that iso site for a cryptofixed version.

There's 2 ways to crush any boss with the Duelist:
1- rely a bit on luck and use X Burn (max it as soon as you can) -> Summon Fire III or Field Volcano
It's a good idea to combine this with the Agent's TROY:Fire -> Hack -> lostpower.exe

2- rely on lots of luck and try to cast the 3 traps so you can use Judgement


The Agent is good for quicly wiping weak enemies and restoring the team's AP.
For boss fights it's mostly a support character. You HAVE to max Hack skill level and use TROY skills otherwise you won't be able to hack any bosses.
Some, like the Shadow Realm's boss, are especially resistant to debuffs so all you can do is try Knee Break to stun and at least make your team strike first.

I find having a destroyer and just EQ'ing at the beginning of the battle wipes near everything. Even some dragons.

Duelists are very good early and mid-game. My MC was a Duelist until later in the game when it wasn't as reliable for damage output. The traps make up a constant stream of damage, and Duelist is MUCH more hardy than Mage. As another note - I almost think you want to deliberately NOT max out the Draw: Ltg/Fire/Ice so you only get two cards - drawing three can actually backfire.

The other 2 are PSP games so I find it weird that they would jump to 3DS. Oh well. The lack of 3D is kinda disappointing considering I am one of the weirdos that play with the 3D all the way up.

If there's anyone whose getting irritated by the sections where the game forces you to use a different team there's an easy work around. You can just go to Modems and swap the order of your team. It makes it easy to just use your normal team for these sections.
