Hi,
I finally succeed in installing a9lh+luma3ds following Plaelict's tutorial.
Now, I want to convert 3ds image into cia.

I see one tutorial use rxtools, which I do not have.
I finally found this tutorial which use Decrypt9WIP.
But, when I run Decrypt9WIP on HBL, I have red screen and got kicked out into HBL again.

Any suggestion? or maybe do you have any tutorial which I can follow?

Decrypt9WIP-20160505-163551
SysNAND v11.0

I read some thread with Decrypt9WIP issues and tried some of the solutions, still no luck.

Have you installed properly the Decrypt9???
Support files
Depending on the environment, Decrypt9 is ran from, you may need support files to have full functionality. Support files are placed into either the root folder, or the work folder (/Decrypt9/). Here's a list of support files used in Decrypt9, when you need them and what they are used for:

  • slot0x05keyY.bin: This file is needed for access to CTRNAND features (which is basically everything) on N3DS when running from A9LH.
  • slot0x25keyX.bin: This file is needed to decrypt 7x crypto NCCHs and CIAs on O3DS < 7.0 and on A9LH.
  • slot0x18keyX.bin: This file is needed to decrypt Secure 3 crypto NCCHs and CIAs on O3DS and on A9LH.
  • slot0x1BkeyX.bin: This file is needed to decrypt Secure 4 crypto NCCHs and CIAs in every environment.
  • aeskeydb.bin: This is an alternative to the four slot0x??key?.bin files mentioned above. It can be created in Decrypt9 and can contain multiple key files.
  • seeddb.bin: This file is needed to decrypt seed crypto NCCHs and CIAs. Note that your seeddb.bin must also contain the seed for the specific game you need to decrypt.
  • movable.sed: This is dumpable by Decrypt9. It is needed to decrypt SD files from another 3DS, or from another installation on your own 3DS. It is not needed when decrypting your own SysNAND / EmuNAND SD files.

since your using A9LH, Set it up to be loaded by Luma3DS(button combo at boot) or use something like CtrBootManger9 (as you need to run things like Decrypt9/EuNand9/Godmode9/ etc (arm9 payloads/binaries) from A9LH

It can't be loaded from HBL Loader, because you're running version 9.3 or higher, much like how you cannot run it on emunand on 9.3 or higher.
Grab the Decrypt9 bin file and drop it in the payloads named something like "down_dec9" (without the quote marks.)
This will make it load decrypt9 on boot by holding down the down button on the dpad.

Thanks. it works!
I tried to rename it into r_Decrypt9WIP.bin before, but it did not work.

yeah just drop the payload in the luma payloads folder and rename it Also, your worth getting hold of cias from that certain iso site. Converting them is time consuming imo.

are you saying that converting roms from .3ds into .cia is time consuming?
I have not done that before so I do not know.
So, is there any site that provide .cia directly?

Yes it is and more so if you are knew to it. If you enjoy doing that kinda stuff then that's cool. If you just want quick and easy access to play games then just look for what cia game you want and install it with FBI, Dev menu or Bbm.

I cannot link the site here but a quick 3ds cia google will help.

It's far from time consuming using decrypt9 in connection with simple cia converter takes quite literally 2 minutes for even the largest game that's hardly time consuming

Last time i did it was with the old method and never bothered since. Didnt know there was a easy way since i use private servers for cia games and what not.

We aren't allowed to link to it directly or say its name on gbatemp.

Ok. THanks guys.
I thought we should convert them ourself since it has to be related with our machine (that's why the converter needs files from our machine ->xorpad files)
So, actually I can download .cia roms from the site and install it directly into my 3DS?

While it doesn't have everything (and will never have physical only games), the easiest way is to not bother with a site and just use CIAngel as much as possible. As for websites, a simple google search should turn up at least two.
