Hii, so I installed A9LH + Luma3DS on my n3DS XL, everything is fine,

Although the light at the top screens keeps kinda flickering and getting brighter and dimer, have disabled auto-brightness, is this usual for it to happen? If not, id wonder how to get it normal - my O3DS XL has never had this problem before.. unless its just how n3DS's are?

Thanks everyone whilst reading~

I have the same problem with my N3DS too, it seems to happen less when you have the brightness higher for me.
Why do I always have problems with my device's screens!? :'(

welp im glad im not the only one, having said troubles. - I hate having the brightness high, thus always having it on the lowest setting, hurts my eyes ><

:o how did you get it to fix? its still quite new..

my issue was way worse than yours, i once clapped the 3ds lid hard accidentally, i had it for about a month or so and i was like oh damn i wrecked my n3ds xl already.

but thankfully there was nothing, but after some weeks of use i saw the 3d messing up completely turning the 3ds top screen very shiny and f**gly looking.

so i turned it off and i pulled out the battery of its back, placed battery back in and then it was fixed!

hmm, so taking out the battery, placing it back inside is essentially a solution? :)

try it out, it wont hurt xD maybe it was luck for me.

but trust me your issue is mild compared to the one i once had by 3d effect i mean i did not even have the slider up.

upon booting my ds ,the top screen would just turn shiny and looking so bad, couldnt look at it for a minute.
so i removed the battery as someone suggested to me, it happened a long time ago.

and it actually did fix for me, i put battery out for a while and then placed it back in.
did not turn on for a while and then turned it back on and it solved my issue.

good luck, and give your DS much love.
i love mine, best handheld ever !

i own 3 (og,ogXL and n3dsXL) and i would want a regular n3ds too with colored buttons it so seksi, but i got no bucks since i am unemployed.. so the 3 i have atm are sufficient.
only my ogXL is worn down.. it was a 'used' condition when i bought it, but my og3ds/n3dsXL both new when i bought.
i love all 3 equally though.

again good luck, and take care OvOb.

hack 'em all good will ya ? i wouldnt mind owning a 2DS ,so i could at least use my Circle Pad grips that i bought off CyberGadget from Amazon.
as when i put them on my ds'es and close the lid it presses against the top screen and i am paranoid and protective so i never keep em on and thats a hassle , i rarely use them because of laziness and the usage, having to press it down on my circle pad makes me think the pressure i apply will break the circle pad.

so a 2DS would have no issues with those awesome Grips, they feel awesome but on my 3ds'es they are hassly to keep putting them on/off due to paranoia XD

edit: forgot to ask, why do you own 3 (3DS XL's) .. ? you share 'em with family or ..?

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha

@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
