Would it be possible to display where a CIA will install to before you confirm installation? Because call me stupid, but my brain just freaks out whenever I install files that go to the NAND instead of SD.

FBI detects when a cia is a system title, 3dsware, or dsiware. FBI takes care of where to install your shit.

I'm having trouble installing DLC via CDN with this, i've got a DLC ticket but on "Install from CDN" it throws up this error:

Failed to install CDN title.
Result code: 0xD8E3FBFD
Level: Permanent (27)
Summary: Invalid Argument (7)
Module: Application (254)
Desc: Out of range (1021)

For reference, it's the dlc with title id 0004008C000FCA00

edit: this was with a legit ticket, this is the error it throws with a non-legit ticket (on a different 3DS):

Failed to install CDN title.
Result code: 0xD8A083FA
Level: Permanent (27)
Summary: Invalid State (5)
Module: AM (32)
Desc: Not found (1018)

I was using PastaCFW and I heard that Pasta is outdated. Trying to install RxTools but without any luck, so far. Nothing but numerous errors.

Use luma 3ds however you probably have some bad cia

I don't because if I relaunch it, it brings up the Virtual Console menu and my suspend point. Is RxTools outdated? I just downgraded my O3DS to 9.2 because last October I bought another 3DS with firmware 7.1 and the A, B, X, and Y buttons were jammed and it wasn't charging right, so I took it back and got a New 3DS (the N3DS, not another O3DS) and I transferred all my Virtual Console and eShop games to the N3DS. Just a few days ago, I downgraded my O3DS from 10.2 to 9.2 and used PastaCFW. The CIAs install just fine but sometimes I get the "error has occurred" message on the bottom screen but if I reuse Ninjhax and boot into Pasta, they just take me to the Virtual Console menu, as I stated earlier.

I got a problem with this. Im on O3DS, using ReiNand, 9.2 and when i go for boot FBI give me this error:

FBI has encountered a fatal error!
Failed to set sycore CPU time limit: D8E05BF4

Anyway in can resolve this error?

So I bought a 3DS with RxTools and FBI on it. However, whenever I try to install a cia, it usually shows this message:

Install failed!
Could not install app.
Raw Error: 0xc8e08001
Module: AM (0x20)
Level: Status (0x19)
Summary: Invalid argument (0x7)
Description: Unknown description (0x1)

Press Start to continue.

The version of FBI I have installed is 1.3.8 as H&S and 1.4.14 as normal (pretty damn old, I know). Does anybody know what to do?
Would updating fix the problem? If it will, what's the proper way of updating FBI?

Okay i have an simple solution.

Delete the "Nintendo 3DS" folder on the root of your SD-Cart.

The other solution is to delete the ticket file of the specific game. But that
fixed only one .cia installation at my system. for the other .cia files
was that not the godfather of solutions

• Add support for importing title seeds, both when installing and for already installed titles. FBI will first look for a seed file at "sdmc:/fbi/seed/(title id).dat". If it is not found, it will attempt to download the seed from the kagiya server.
• Allow applying parental controls restrictions. Enable rating restrictions to require the parental controls PIN to launch.
• Delete existing copies of tickets before reinstalling.
• Disable sleep mode during data operations. (installing, pasting files, etc.)
• Increase maximum number of CDN contents. Should fix some DLC installation issues.
• Fix displaying listing errors.

Was hoping to fix a freezing issue experienced by N3DS users before the next release, but it'll have to wait until I have my N3DS back.

I'm having this problem with the new version 2.2.2
Problem being presented in CFW Gateway 3ds.
