I use 8GB for system memory, and the other 8GB as a RAMdisk.

How do you do RAMdisk? I mean, you can't just mount a memory module to loop, and mkfs on it!

I use #!++ on my laptop but I need to switch off because of how out of date the repos are
I'm not overly concerned right now though, I barely use it. Might be worth playing with arch again at some point, but I hate spending the time ricing and LXDE looks like pure shit out of the box.

I just download and tested Android x86 6.0 this morning in VMware. It counts as Linux, since it's derived from (and based around) Linux and it's kernel.

But it doesn't have the needed linux libraries. And android doesn't give the respect to it. I mean Chrome OS is based around the Linux kernels but they don't call it Linux.
