I have searched google, reddit, here and everywhere i could think of, but could find no solution. I have both the physical and digital version of the game. I read that i could install the exploit on the physical version with powersaves like OOThax but i cant seem to find any save whatsoever online for it?
And when i had tried to access the SMChax installer to do it on my digital version, it just freezes on a black top screen and red bottom screen... I use a New 3DS fW 10.7

I could help you out, you said you already have access to homebrew though?
Please say what you have already, and if you need a powersaves save file, let me know what region and what version with console you need it for and I will be able to quickly install it for you and upload the save here.

Put the nmap folder at the root of your SD card, and use the boot.3dsx included.

It is pretty much required for using any homebrew with eShop versions of Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, along with many other games.

Note that you need to be running *hax 2.7

You just download as zip and copy the nmap folder to the root of your SD card, and you use the boot.3dsx that's included in the download (which is a version of HBL that makes uses of it.)

Then all you have to do is run the installer for SMChax on your digital copy of the game.

Literally, the readme. Read it and do as it says.

So the entire nmap file? I dont have to find a specific one right? And if i have it work with digital, can i use save manager to move the HB save file to my physical copy or would i still need powersaves for that? I would like to give a friend the physical game since he would like to access homebrew

The entire nmap folder.
You only really need one of the .xmls inside, but it doesnt hurt to have them all (it'll be required for any newer eShop games that use 9.6 crypto.)

Once you have it work with digital, you should be able to use save manager or svdt to backup the save file and restore it to the physical copy, yes.

Is there any reason why you can't just use the smchax installer with your physical copy directly? Why resort to installing to digital --> backing up --> restoring to physical

Because anytime i try to run the installer it just crashes with a bottom red screen. So i was hoping to get a powersave file, install it with powersaves, then access HBL, back up physical save, transfer it to digital, then restore physical and give it to my friend to avoid that red screen of death again

It crashes with a red bottom screen even with the physical copy?
Are you sure you are running the installer on the physical copy, and not accidentally running it on the digital copy? :P

Red bottom screen when trying to run homebrew with title selection is caused by 9.6 crypto games, which doesn't affect physical retail games, afaik. That might have changed, though.
Either way, what I posted earlier should make it work, and if it doesn't, then the problem must be elsewhere and I wouldn't really know. :/

Yep i have the physical game in the cartridge when i attempt to hit the installer. I mean, hitting the installer in general just makes the red bottom screen crash happen... :|

Ohhhh you mean when you run the installer, it doesn't even ask you to select a game, it just runs immediately?
hmm...

That is the behaviour I am observing over here as well, except the installer just runs fine.

My assumption is that the installer just defaults to reading the eShop version you have installed even though you have the physical cartridge inserted, rather than asking the user to select a game.

In that case, I would try with the nmap folder, and then you may have to use save manager or svdt to move the save over to the physical copy, yeah.

Try again a few times and see if it always stays stuck on a yellow screen.
Just to be sure, run it without the physical copy inserted, in case the installer gets confused due to having both physical copy + digital copy present at once.

No, that xml file is for an entirely different purpose.

I don't think I can help you with that new problem, you may be better off asking over on the smchax thread (here)

For the time being, you may still be able to use a Powersaves save file provided by Pikasack later.

NO, DO NOT UPDATE, I REPEAT DO NOT, it breaks downgrading and ninjhax. make sure you have a boot.3dsx file on the root of the sd

Well im not interested in downgrading since i would have to format my system to get it to stop soft bricking on me. I know upgrading to 11.0 breaks ninjihax / oothax, which is why im wanting to install SMChax since that one still works apparently on newest firmware

I do believe that the 10.7 payload works fine on 11.0, and if it didn't, the exploit itself works regardless of firmware version and has the ability to update payload on its own if necessary.

Before you proceed, are you sure you don't want to downgrade to 9.2? You can update to 11.0 if you want and just be using homebrew with PSMD, but updating to 11.0 means it would be very difficult to go back.

If you know that you aren't interested in downgrading + CFW, that's up to you.

Though, in my opinion, it would still be best to downgrade to 9.2 even if you were only interested in homebrew launcher, because using CFW pretty much guarantees that you will never lose homebrew access in the future, while still being able to update to the latest firmware version (at least for now.)
Now that they've figured out a way to block oot3dhax and ninjhax, at least for now, I'm not so sure that having a game entry point guarantees that you'll keep homebrew access through future updates anymore.

Just downgrade its really not dangerous at all if you follow pailects guide by word. Also if you are dumb enough to update to 11.0 not only no one will help you downgrade again until a public tool arrives but you will regret your foolish decision made by purely irrationality
