You should save the textures on DXT5 (or DTX5, I don't remember the order)then, put it in the same folder as the .nut file and EasyInject.

IMPORTANT: There is a serious error in EasyInject.bat, you have to edit it in notepad and change the two paths in there to their equivalents in your PC
I edit the path in notepad and no tmp.gtx or tmp.gxt file (forgot the ending format) comes out even when I saved the file as DXT5 (The image I edited.)

Would anybody here happen to have a list of the music files and their corresponding in-game titles? The SmashCustomMusic site has a few missing/misspelled and scrolling through that giant drop-down is a total pain anyway.

Even if I could just get a filesystem dump from someone that has the whole game it'd be much appreciated. I've only got my disc copy.

Make sure the original .nut(the one you extracted the DDS from), the .DDS files and EasyInject.bat are in the Injector Pack root.
Also, you can't change the name or size (image size, not file size) of the DDS files.
AND THE TMP.GTX IS NOT YOUR DDS CONVERTED, it's a temp file, your DDS in inside the .nut

The .nut will get injected but will keep the same name and place, so even if nothing visibly changes, doesn't mean it didn't work

Omega form, not the normal one.
Thank you!, ahem.... This is awkward.... Where are the omega folders?

This is not a rant, just trying to explain why sometimes people don't get answers fast, or not at all.

Unless devs get a very specific idea of the problem you have, they won't be able to help you with literally no information given.
A lot of time is "wasted" here with people basically asking for help but not providing any useful information the first time, or worse, asking for the same things over and over again.
If you're not willing to properly explain your problem (no, "it doesn't work" or "it stopped working" is not explaining), you can't expect help in return.

It's simply easier to help someone who's willing to dig into the problem, and then report it.

The best way to get a quick answer is to provide as much information as possible:
- A list of everything you did prior to the bug, what did you try to accomplish (for sm4shexplorer for example, what files have you added/modified, did you try to cheat on the LS check like many, way too many did...)
- What have you tried already?
- Logs (if no logs, at least the detail error message)
- OS and eventually any specificity (what version of python, no sound device...)
- Screens, if you think it can be useful for a better understanding of the issue.
With that, if the bug is already known, another member will be able to help quickly. If its not, either the dev(s) will qualify it as a new bug (which is very possible) or you can also create a new issue in the github of the project.

With very specific (and fairly young) modding tools, there are a lot of unknown variables. One example in my case would be the Metaknight bug, I had no idea it was even a thing since it was brought up. The issue was quite simple to understand: After rebuild: victory animation 3, game crash, and logs were provided > was a lot easier to find the reason and fix it. (Thank you to the person who reported it by the way!)

OP: I think a paragraph on how to properly report a bug would be nice, and maybe adding a list of bugs already resolved?

I made some Windows batch files some time ago to rename the .nus3bank files into soundtrack formats. This lets you match you most filenames to their in-game name, or at least to a meaningful identifier in cases where the file is not used in the sounds menus. (It doesn't cover everything, as it excludes functional duplicates and files that don't play in vgmstream.) You can then cross-reference the Smash Wiki's music lists to figure out what stages the songs are used on. (Stage information is given in the linked list pages for each universe category, rather than directly in this full list page.)

Yeah being able to edit gear items would be great. I would love to just cancel out all the + and - properties in Smooth Lander to get Auto L Canceling. Anyone working on something like that?

Hey, i tried to made a texture mod of pikachu based on c00 and i put it on c01.
But when running the c01 alt in game it has c00 superposed. So i tried to use textidfix and tried various id (0,2,4,9, 14, 42, 142, ...) but after the c01 became totally red D:
Any idea how to fix that ?

bump, it still keeps freezing at the splash screen, am I doing something wrong when adding the files? trying to add a downloaded texture for the first time.

Yea, all I do is open the modded texture folder. body drop to the correct cXX file, and drag and drop the content from the texture to the cXX folder. Then I re-build the mod. Grab the files from the export folder, and replace it with the files from the patch folder in my sd card. That's all I do.

How did you enable the other css slots? I checked the ui_character_db file and it looked like there was only the slots for the characters in there.

So I have been having quite a random issue with Sm4shExplorer. it was working fine before and built mods just fine but recently when I was working on a modpack it decides that it wants to throw errors that make no sence.
The error usually consists of "this file is already in use" and it is usually a random parm file or sometimes it just gives me an error with no explanation just unhanded exception.
Anyone else had this problem?

someone help me dump my wii u please :^(

"Dump my wii u"? XD

I'm guessing you just want to have a modded Sm4sh, hence you're here? If that's the case, get ready for a 5-12 hour waiting process to fully dump the game. Allow me to show you where you should start.

Please guys, I don't want to seem rude at all, but please do us all a favor and literally use GOOGLE. You can find these things at the top of the search pages as well.

The 2nd and 3rd search results has to do with Sm4sh modding. Use Google. USE IT.

You're probably placing the mods in the wrong folder. Where exactly are you placing your modded files?
