Have you bricked your 3DS with one of these?

I heard that the reason that emunand bricks on downgrading to 2.1 is that CFW just doesn't support it. So in theory, downgrading Sysnand to 2.1 is safe on an o3ds. N3ds never had 2.1 so it'd brick.

As of today luma3ds and reinand both support 2.1 downgrade on new and old 3ds.

Here's another way to brick;

Roasting your system like a marshmallow

May I ask what tutorial did you use after you hard modded your 3DS that actually worked well for you?
You'll need to have kept a NAND backup of some sort. sysNAND or emuNAND, it doesn't matter.
I followed this tutorial to do the actual mod, and after reaching the error code with the blue screen, this video.
But instead of dumping your NAND like the video shows, you rename the NAND backup you have with a .img extension, and you flash it with Win32 Disk Imager.
I was lucky enough to have kept an old 10.3 emuNAND backup, and as such, I managed to downgrade again to 9.2 without buying extra software.

Note that I didn't drill the back of my system like the guy on the video has done. I just unscrewed and removed the R button, and passed the cables through there. I only wanted to use the hard mod once anyway.

One more: updating the stage two. I did it in my brother's 3DS and now it's hardbriked.

Updating stage 2 only can lead to a brick if the forks have been changed. Safea9lhimstaller no longer allows for it
We I don't remember to have changed anything. Eather way, it's a way to brik and I think it should be listed.

Was hoping someone could help. Was attempting to use SafeA9LHinstaller on my 2ds and it shows "Successful" but after I reboot it just shows the SafeA9LHinstaller screen...over...and over...and over and I cant go anywhere else...just there.

It just shows press select to update A9LH or shutdown and when I reboot it shows this screen again, hard reboot, nothing works

You need to replace the arm9loaderhax.bin file that's in the root of your sd card with the one from luma.
