Well the songs appear in Midgar, however if you try to adjust the frequency of when they play and back out, and enter it again, they revert back to Rarely. Is it because the songs aren't meant to be played in the stage or would I need to set the tracks to be playable in Midgar for them to play?

So, Has anybody checked Pac-Man's soundbanks to see if they have space? I actually got plenty of clips for his attacks now. Martin was probably my favorite voice for him, It kinda bummed me he didn't return for Smash 4.

Also how do I get started with dumping my Smash Wii U copy?

Are you launching it through SD Cafiine? What tutorial did you follow?

Alright as far as I know, I'm able to extend the track list for stages easily, though the one problem is that unless there is a way to take a copied track from another stage and make it its own song that will work in the stage you are putting tracks into (e.g Midgar), then you aren't going to be able to hear the copied track in that stage since the My Music settings would reset the copied songs to Rarely play, or in this case not play at all since they aren't linked to that stage.

I know I should just wait until we get the ability to freely add and replace tracks through the plugin system in Sm4shExplorer, but God only knows how long that will be, and surely some others likely figured out how to make the new tracks work in the stage, aside from @soneek.

How do I use Sm4shInjector exactly? I've tried the tutorials said above and none of them worked. Can't I just inject this one sound mod I want to use into the game and play?

Can anyone tell me if it's illegal to ask for the files needed for Sm4sh Explorer to boot up, I wanna apply some voice hacks and the 8 player smash hack, but I'm using TS4M's Modpack which doesn't include all of the files (neither does the latest update 224, I just don't have space to dump the whole game and I really want the files).

I just need Is, the Dt00 and 01, meta.XML and cross_f.rpx.

And if that doesn't get answered, is there another way to open packed files? Or to get Sm4sh Explorer to boot up without these files?

Yo. I pretty much know what to do now, regarding adding my own things. However, got some questions.

  1. I changed the ui_character.db.bin parameter for Mario to have 10 slots. I added the extra two costumes, but it didn't work. If I press Y on the gamepad, it goes to his Waluigi recolor. I've added his cosmetics as well.
  2. Does anyone have a list of what each folder represents in ui/replace/char ? Stock is self explanatory, but I wanted to ask.
  3. I'm trying to download http://gamebanana.com/skins/145409 to replace yellow Mario. However, when I replace the model.nut in the appropriate folder and load him up in-game, I get this

Shit. Alright, so I started hacking, got my mods all loaded using the mod pack. That all worked fine.

But when I try to rebuild my own modset (with none of thatsmash4modder's stuff), the game logo boots, goes to a black screen, then flashes the Smash logo again, and gives me error code 150-3034. "An error has occurred. If there is an SD Card in your console, please remove it, turn of the console, and then try again."

But then, if I go back to using TS4M's pack, it works again. Someone please help, I was finally getting close with my song title editing too ;-;

1. You'll need to replace the ui_character.db.bin file in your region's data folder (data(us_en), data(eu_en), etc). The region file overwrites the one in the default data folder on load.
2. I know chr_13 is the main CSS one. The others I'm not sure.
3. I believe you need the corresponding model.nud file. If one isn't included, you'll need to figure out which one the alt was made from.

Sorry to repeat myself, but does anyone know?

The only thing that my group has wanted since day one was Doc Louis in Sm4sh - purely as a joke. I' always say that I'd try to model-swap him in onc eit became possible.

So this morning I tried straight-up replacing Little Mac's fighter model with the Doc Louis model used in Mac's victory screen (and vice versa) for fun, knowing full well the rigging wouldn't be the same and it would look hilariously bent-up and horrifying.

But uh...

It turns out that his jab hitbox (and more than likely his other moves' hitboxes, too) now spans the entire screen for some reason, even though previous frankenswaps have still had normal, functioning hitboxes.

I'm guessing it has to do with the Doc Louis model being from the victory screen and it being different to the fighter models used in the actual gameplay.

But more importantly, Little Mac can finally edgeguard. We top tier now? :^)

Sorry to repeat myself, but does anyone know?
Yeah, it's illegal. And it's not possible to get the explorer to boot without them,

Just dump them yourself. It's easy and only takes a few hours of waiting.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to mod Smash4.

I'm so close to figuring everything out, I just can't figure out the last thing I need to release my first Wii U texture hack.

The darn hair texture doesn't want to play nice with the extended costume slots.
