Hacking Homebrew Recommendations?

Hey everyone.

I'm wanting to use the new exploit on my wiiu. But almost every post i have seen is about loading backups through loadiine for modding games. This is not really something that interests me.

So i'm hoping someone could give me some suggestions on homebrew to mess around with. (Please no backup loaders, unless there is one that would allow me to load gamecube backups. Thanks)

And please only recommend modding homebrew or mods that are fun. Nothing that ruins the games.

The exploit just came out, so there's really nothing to play except for Loadiine. I'm working on ports of Simon and Arkanoid if you're interested in that.

Well i was hoping there was some old homebrew and things like that. Possibly they could work.

I'm just fed up of all the loadiine posts... need something good to do with it xD

its very new , and all homebrews are currently being worked on , theres not much more than what we had on userland currently , although some of those have been ported to the HBL enviroment ... brienj has converted his asturoids (hes working on it still but there is a release) , emulators are being worked on .. you will im sure see quite a bit over the next few weeks ,, you need to understand this exploit is only days into the wild ,,, and devs are now progressing...

So does old homebrew not work? I thought things that would go on an SD card would run fine

Well i don't know if there is any old homebrew.

I'm don't follow the wiiu scene much. I just assumed that there would be a lot of homebrew for older firmwares.
It can't just be things like Loadiine and Cafeiine and things like that

Nope, that's literally it. Stuff like Loadiine, Saviine, and Caffine, and then Pong and Asteroids.

I have three projects I did in my signature. One of them has been updated to run on HBL since the exploit was finally released. My drawing program will be updated to work on the HBL later, but it can still be loaded with the old elf loader. My emulator will be changed to a newer port with sound, now that I can finally add sound, since as I said before, the exploit was FINALLY released. I could have had a ton of shit done by now, but since it was thought that people would only be interested in backup loading, it was held back, the irony being, there are at least 4 or 5 of us developers that wanted to make other stuff besides backup loading, and nobody actually had to update any projects for backup loading for 5.5. So basically, us developers stuck on 5.5 with a kexploit have been waiting for almost half a year wasting time that could have been spent making things for the older firmwares, as well as 5.5. Don't blame us ...

Why not give us some ideas of what you would like, thinking of new and usefull ideas is the hardest part of developing. Currently I am working on some new unseen games but they will obviously take a while to complete. Navstar7 is an engine I've just completed but need to make many more levels and add extra features but will be the first I release, my eta is currently around Oct/Nov. My only other project idea, other than developing game engines, is to create a unity 3d player. This would allow anyone creative to make at least basic games for the U but also with the potential to create high class games equal to those being developed by high end teams.
