here is the new stable kernal exploit with homebrew launcher 1.2 for 5.4.0 users :

* prepare your local server
* launch web browser
* launch kernel.html first
* it will exit to home menu
* click on web browser again
* launch HBL.html

make sure you have homebrew_launcher.elf in sd:wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher

success rate is 100% :toot::yayu:

I'm looking to try to host Homebrew Launcher locally, Does anybody have an MP4 build of the latest official release?

How do you run this on 5.5.1? In the files there only is a payload for 5.5.0 and if I use that one my Wii U just freezes...

The payload does not include a kernel exploit. You have to run a kernel exploit before launching the payload on 5.5.0/5.5.1. I will integrate a single launch link for all firmwares with the stable kernel exploit as soon as it is officially released.

I did run the kernel exploit before though and still doesn't work...

You must have done something different than other users than. This is already well tested and known to work on 5.5.1. If you use the RC2 package you just have to launch the index.html on your browser after launching the kernel exploit. Make sure your web server supports PHP. I recommend to use apache2 or nginx with the their PHP modules.

I really am doing something wrong, because if I launch the index.html nothing happens, I checked why and the reason is that the JS if-clause in index.html only checks for browser versions up to 3.0.4.2.11, while 5.5.1 uses 3.0.4.2.12, and when I change the string so the 5.5.0 payload gets run the console just freezes.

Oh, thanks for the info on that version check. I will change that. Other than that I dont see what could be wrong. Do you know if the kernel exploit you are using is mapping some memory to 0xA0000000? It doesn't matter which value it sets it to but it must be something not equal to 0.

If you are unsure about it, just wait a bit. Once the official release of the exploit is out I wil integrate it properly. I don't think it will take much long till the official release. Or you can get to IRC and I can help you there directly.

I unfortunately have no idea about anything concerning the exploit, I saw this morning that an exploit for the Wii U was found and I decided to just jump into it with no prior knowledge of Wii U homebrew. I eventually got the kernel exploit to run, but I don't even know if it worked because I haven't managed to get even one homebrew running :( I just thought I did something really obvious wrong and maybe there would be a quick fix. It's okay, I can wait a few days, but thank you for your help anyways :)

Ok guys as promised since MN1 officially released his exploit and the sources. Here is the HBL installer merged with the new gx2sploit. Single launch link.

Before I commit it I want to ask people on 5.3.2, 5.4.0, 5.5.0 and 5.5.1 to test these files:
http://www100.zippyshare.com/v/TmcRPVvU/file.html

(actually I tested it on 5.3.2 so that one is not needed)

Seems like either your SD card is not support or it does not have an MBR then.

Works perfectly with 5.4.0
Thanks
