Hacking Why can't we have the 5.5.1 Kernel Exploit while IOSU is being worked on?

I have been thinking that it would probably be watermarked electronically to deter leakers.
Yeah, there are lots of ways to find out who leaked something. As long as the coders all know how.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

That wouldn't stop a leak.

If someone wants to leak it? They will.
We weren't talking about stopping them but it'd make it easier to track em down.

For what purpose? To harass them and try to make them apologize?

I just play with my Wii U and have fun with it. Oh wait... that was the reason I've bought it!

I find funny that people still believe that the exploit actually exists, given that we only have word of mouth and the only one who had facts to back him up was Smea

Oh great.
Now you've ruined all of our fun.

What's next, are you going to say there's no such thing as the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny?
If there's no Tooth Fairy, how did those dollar bills end up under my pillow??
Are you suggesting someone broke into my room at night and put money under there while I was sleeping?? (scary thought)

And exactly who do you think eats the cookies, drinks the milk and stuffs the stockings I "hung by the chimney with care" on Christmas Eve??

Of course there is such a thing as an IOSU Exploit.
But she's making a list and checking it twice, she's gonna find out who's naughty and nice...

(And next time, use a spoiler if your going to say something so shocking like this...)

.

I've just been given reliable information that the kernel exploit is nearing completion and will be released mid way through May.
Although I know most people are waiting for the K-Exploit to be release so they can use Loadiine, I only care about a rock-solid IOSU Exploit for better Homebrew and other (read better) things.
Yes, we can do better homebrew with just a K, but with IOSU and what we now know about the IOS/Kernels...

I'd like to see the Wii-U catch up to the 3DS before it starts being used as a doorstop... (or maybe as a tire-chock to keep my boat from rolling down a small hill)

How many 3ds homebrews require arm9 access?

It's time for this thread to close now. Nothing useful is being added in. Just like this comment.
