:sad::sad:So I was following this guide:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-installing-rxtools-custom-firmware-3ds-and-2ds.390867/

When I had finished I realised that on SysNAND, the system settings app had disappeared. I tried to launch it through the menu in the top left corner of the screen, but it just kicked me back into the home menu!
I had made a NAND backup with gateway before I started just in case anything went wrong.
I tried to restore the backup to my sysNAND and it gave me an error message. I can't remember what it was but it said that my NAND was invalid.

I also had problems installing .CIAs with FBI, dev_menu and Title Manager.
So I decided to reinstall emuNAND and use TinyFormat to format my 3DS sysNAND so that I could use system settings.

TinyFormat finished successfully and told me that it was going to reboot my system, it did but the following error message came up when it booted.

"An error has occurred.
Hold down the POWER Button to
turn off the power, then turn it on
and try again.

If the problem persists, please
contact your local customer support
centre. For contact details, check
the Operations Manual or visit
support.nintendo.com"

My system version was 9.2.0-20E, which I downgraded to from 9.6.0
I own a copy of Legend of Zelda OOT 3D with OoT3Dhax save installed.
I have tried to boot into recovery mode by powering on my 3ds and holding down Up (DPad)+A+L+R
When I try to update it gives me an error message:
"An error has occurred.
Unable to update.

The system will
now turn off."

I am certain that my internet connection settings are correct and I did not have a custom DNS or anything just normal settings!

If anybody could help me unbrick my system or even find a way for me to launch Zelda OOT 3D Hax so I can use Tiny Format to format sysNAND I would be very grateful!

Thank You!:):D

I have included some pictures!

I have tried booting 3ds without sd and updating without sd

Did you try recovery? Also a hardmod won't work I think because he only has a nand backup of his frankenfirmware

Maybe you should read through it before you reply!

You will need a hardmod.

But wait: I thought there was a combo that launches a game directly on start up. You may could start oot3dhax and restore your nand Backup with decrypt9.

Sorry for bad English!
Does anyone know what the combo is?
There's no combo like that I guess there is... I don't even know if it'll work, but if you hardmod it, you may be able to write that seemingly crappy backup (dang it Gateway) to your nand to save it. Tbh, it sounds dead af. Your nand backup sounds unreliable and getting a hardmod may just be a waste of money. Here's what I recommend: create a sob story, the best you got, then call Nintendo and tell them all about that made up sob story and hope they'll take the console in for repairs with a warranty if you still have one.

Whoa calm down man. He was only trying to help. I get that you're stressed, but lashing out at people who only want to help isn't a good thing to do.

recovery is L+R+Up+A......but, just so you know, it will take you to newest Firmware 10.7...but its best to have a 3DS on newest firmware than no 3DS at all right?

I don't believe you will have to hard mod it. Use this combo press L+R+A+↑+Power. Arrow up on d-pad, not c-pad. Do not try to boot it in HBL. If is something unclear, check this

Then do a hardmod!
The problem with a hardmod is this:
"I had made a NAND backup with gateway before I started just in case anything went wrong.
I tried to restore the backup to my sysNAND and it gave me an error message. I can't remember what it was but it said that my NAND was invalid."

It sounds like the nand backup may not even work and that it might just be a loss of money. Even if it does work, who know's how stable it actually is. It could bonk (lol what a weird word) out at any time.

I'd make sure that there weren't anything blocking the update in the router. Disable any firewall e.t.c. in your router. Perhaps activate DMZ against the 3DS?

@M1lkyM00
Try this with a game cart on the console: (your brick is because you dont have the system settings app, needed for the first use configuration,so this must work)
The combination is: X + Y + A + B + R.
Good luck and my best wishes.
