Hacking Hey guys need help hacking fw 3.35

Ok so I got a pstv in today that has firmware 3.35, whats the best way to eventually get tv-n to play my backups. i have a mac atm and a shitty vista computer cus my gaming rig decided to bite the dust -__- also have a ps3 with latest FW and a cfw ps3 if that makes a differnce, I read that tutorials for different expoints but im a little confused on what would be the easiest way, preferably mac, to choose. also should i stay on 3.35?

Most things are done via Windows PC. I think your Vista PC will do.
Also, what do you mean by 'different expoints'?

i went to hack informer and it shows webkit expoilt and fan mail exploit, im guessing those might not work anymore, and well damn ill have to breakout the shitty vista pc XD

hehehe, they're not entrypoints.
They all do different things. That webkit sploit is just a sandbox thing, I think. I've never tried it, and I don't think it's available anymore, anyway.

The email exploit just allows you to access the Vita's filesystem. You can dump files from any partition on the Vita's NAND, so long as you know the path to it, and you can also write the files back to the (re-writable) partitions on the Vita's NAND.

I also forgot to mention that the email exploit is basically the tool for almost all other exploits. This includes the Vita's PSP-side kernel exploits and PSP backup/homebrew loaders such as TN-V, ARK and VHBL.

Don't use Vita Email Hacker! It sucks now. I really need to tweak the guide. >.>

I would recommend first installing Thunderbird, and then follow this guide.

What happens when you get the error? Does it just say "an error has occured"?

Is your Gmail account set to use POP or IMAP? I can't think of any other solutions since I've never come across this issue before.

My Gmail account is using just IMAP. And Thunderbird is just there to make emails. It's not really a must-have since gmail and a couple of others can make emails, but it's highly recommended to have Thunderbird because of the .eml files!

Well, I actually meant changing your gmail account settings, on your PC.
Just sign in to your gmail on your PC and change the settings so that IMAP is enabled.

ok so finnal go that to work, went to sleep tried it the excat same way i got up and now dosent have problems, went thru everthing and now im stuck on the qcma part. i have no idea how to work the program with the ps3 cus i cant get a base game onto the pstv, no psn acess on the ps tv only both ps3's

ok nevermind i finnaly got everthing on there, only concern is that later today im buying a memcard for it, so the tn-v is on the internal memory, wondering if i can copy the savedata launcher to the memory card so when i go and transfer backups to it il have enough space to do so.
