alright sweet thanks, lastly what are the actual brick chances ? (i do have my sysNAND backups)

ouch ouch ouch, wait a sec. i am reading the guide, and i see that it is required for me to format emuNAND (at part4, since i dont need to the the first 3 parts as i already have emuNAND cfw etc. all set).

but in that part 4 someting called OTP, in those steps i see that i need to format emuNAND eh? well dayum i am way to lazy to re-install the whole games. =-='
if you do read all the step, you will find out it tells you to backup Nintendo 3ds folder and emunand before perform the tinyformat.

ah please read again! i edited my post< and mmm the steps seem so long.. not that i would mind but yes i said that i wouldnt want to format emuNAND< cause of my installed games =-='
you won't lose anything for playing game, but add an amazing feature and spend some time..

ufffh, so this means i would just have to copy the files back in my mSD and the emuNAND will be all fine yeah?

crap i really want to try it out for the faster bootRate.

also, the boot time depends on your sd/msd. for me, only takes 11s on 2DS, and 13s on N3DSLL(more game installed though). both cards are C10/U1:lol:
I've done a few o3ds's and n3ds's

Boot times range from 5-8 seconds for me all booting from sysnand (8 seconds being the one with loads of games installed)

@Ericjwg mate, are the "New 3DS / Old 3DS or 2DS 2.1.0 - USA" <<<< for both old/n3ds ? as i dont see them separate, so that full pack will work on both yep?
The 2.1 update was only for o3ds, so there are only o3ds files. This is why you have to "unbrick" the emunand before copying it to sysnand.

Wanted to ask about another con of using A9LH.

From what I understand, now your 3DS is dependent on the SD card (having the correct file). I'm just thinking if the SD card got corrupted or something, the 3DS wouldn't even boot, correct?

of course no.....
when you get a new sd card, and place arm9loaderhax.bin back into it.
it's alive again

let's say your sd is corrupted now, so you only have to copy arm9loaderhax.bin(any cfw's) and run it, goes into sysnand.
use HBL load emunand9 to setup emunand. (if emunand9 can run under a9lh, it would be little bit easier).

Correct, but think of it this way...
If you use emuNAND and your SD card died, you loose everything you had done and would have to start again, at least this way you will still keep some things.

it's not a problem if you make backup of the sd card once a week or once 2 weeks

But you will loose everything in the past week or so since you last backed up, at least with this you won't loose everything, just installed CIA's and saves on the SD card.
