Did you downgrade ever?
Did you modify sysnand titles?
You are using menuhax? Recently tried to get otp?

Perhaps try a new micro sd card and see if reinand works? If it does start over?

Thanks for the help, but the problem was the SD Management App i had installed, after delete it everything is just fine

Quick question: Does reinand use the same emunand as the gateway emunand? for example if you used an SD card that had a gateway made emunand partition would reinand be able to use that emunand partition?

Thank god. because i can't get Emunand9 to boot from the homebrew menu so i just gave up on using emunand9. Decided to use the gateway launcher to create the emunand partition. c:
how are you booting it? it's weird that it would never work. I personally would suggest using that to format if you can ever use it, but that's just me.

I'm using menuhax/ctr boot manager. from the ctr i go into homebrew menu, press A on Emunand9 and it just hangs at a black screen.

Edit: oh well. doesn't matter now. got gateway to launch and it just finished creating the emunand partition. so screw it haha

Is it possible to make reinand autoboot with this method:

Set up menuhax
delete the Boot.3dsx (homebrew launcher)
Rename the reinand.3dsx to boot.3dsx
Place that on the root of the SD card
Boot on 3ds with auto menuhax
Reinand boots?
Profit?

Yes that would work but I would suggest using a boot manager of some description.

Righty...someone's gonna have to hold my hand for a minute here!

I've not touched my 3DS (or visited this site) for a good 6 months or so and subsequently I seem to have forgotten everything!

I'm wanting to update to the latest ReiNAND (and emuNAND) but I'm not sure what files I should be replacing and whatnot. Like I said, I've managed to forget everything I learnt about the 3DS w/CFW

I've got;
n3DS (9.2 sysNAND)
ReiNAND/emuNAND 9.5.0
Some kind of autoboot in place; Originally I had MSET set up, but I changed it to something else and can't remember the name of it (menuhax, maybe?). Turning the system on from cold (and waiting a few seconds) brings up a quick debug screen, quick red and blue flashes, then shows the "Press start to boot" ReiNAND screen. Is that menuhax?

Could some kind person please give me a quick rundown of what I need to do to get on the latest emuNAND and latest ReiNAND?

Thanks and apologies for my "old man" brain!

you should delete the old "rei" and "ReiNand.dat" first.

get the latest release:
https://github.com/Reisyukaku/ReiNand/releases
and extract it to the root of the SD card.

then you should be able to update emunand to 10.6.

Ok, I deleted ReiNAND.dat along with the rei folder.
Downloaded the latest release and copied the rei folder and ReiNAND.dat back onto the root of my SD. Copied the /3DS/ReiNAND folder to the same location on my SD (overwrote original files). But now it doesn't work. I get the autoboot sequence, but never see the ReiNAND splash screen (I've tried about a dozen times).

[edit]
Never mind. Just noticed Robert McCoy's post...I renamed the ReiNAND.3dsx file to boot.3dsx and now it's working (auto booting).

So now I can just run a system update?

Menuhax boots any 3dsx that you call boot.3dsx, would work with reinand 3dsx but I'd recommend setting up ctrbootmanager or bootctr, that way you can boot many stuff

Hi evry1 :)
So i successfully got my OTP.bin
What do I have to do now to get my ReiNAND emuNAND to coldboot?
I guess i have to install Al9Hax beforehand using this Guide? (is there a more easy way to do this?)
And then simply 'overwrite' my old reinand files with the Al9 ReiNAND stuff?
Thanks in advance :)
