I currently have Pokemon AS and it is asking for a update if i start the game. Note I am on Reinand Emunand 9.2 atm. Will this update my emunand? Or how do i go about updating my Emu to the a version it works on so im able to play games and access multiplayer on them?

You can update your games fine but you'll have to be able to access the shop, and therefore be on the latest version for emuNAND. Make sure you have a version of ReiNAND that supports 10.6 emuNAND. Then go to system settings (while on emunand and dont exit once you've gone in otherwise you'll be booted to sysNAND) go to other settings, system update and let it finish. When it restarts boot back to emunand and you'll be on 10.6 and you'll be able to update Pokémon.

I don't know if you need to be on a certain firmware for emunand to play online. Hopefully somebody more in the know will be able to verify the advice i'm giving you.

1. You can update the emunand by just going into your settings and updating it WHILE you are on emunand. Make sure that you are on emunand, it should say Rei right before your firmware number. Leaving settings in emunand takes you to sysnand, so again make sure you are in emunand while updating. Rei works on 10.6 just fine.

2. To update Pokemon AS i'd recommend just downloading an update cia and installing it. There are cia's out there of game updates. Not sure if it would be against the rules or not for me to link to exactly where you could fine it.

No you'll need latest firmware to update since that goes through the eShop.
Edit: you could do as the poster above you suggested and install the update as a CIA, but that is less simple and you will no longer be able to update the game via the eShop until you find and delete that update (basically you'll have to continue updating by CIA forever until you delete all the updates you installed)

Correct, you should do as Quantumcat recommends. I updated using cia files back when n3DS wasn't supported on the latest firmware and so I didn't have eShop access.

Not allowed to share roms or other copyrighted files here. You'll have to find it yourself. Updating is a lot simpler. Also if you're not sure whether your version of Reinand supports 10.6, you could backup your emunand with emunand tool before updating (which is good practice anyway) and see if it works. If it doesn't you can just restore your backup.

You don't need to format your card. Just keep the .bin in a safe place. Emunand tool will let you restore the .bin if anything goes wrong.

Dude im a idiot. This is what happens when you're tired. I dumped my Emunand to my file and it failed due to ALL of the space being used. Is there a way to regain that space? Maybe go into the Emunand9 folder on my SD and delete that nand bin file?

Edit: That NANd. Bin file in the Emunand9 folder is only 1.43g size. My sd didnt have enough room on it at the time. I didnt notice sadly. I have 2mb left lmao! Smh and btw how does that extract tool work?

All im trying to do is make a back up of emu. Im either completely dumb or just not hack freindly.

I'm not sure, you can probably put your sd in your computer and delete the .bin then? Or, big blue menu gives you access to all the files on your sd card so you could delete it that way too.

But i obviouslt cant backup since i only have 1472mb/1828 needed for the dump. I take it the tool will have to do?
