Which game? I could take a look at it.Unrelated, but does any folk know how AAMP compression works? Literally can't find anything on Google, not a decompressor, not even information about the compression method itself.

Mario Kart 8 specifically. Take any course's .bgenv file, decompile it with SARCTools, and look for a file with the .baglcube extension. http://mk8.tockdom.com/wiki/List_of_File_FormatsWhich game? I could take a look at it.
A header's not going to help me that much, but thanks for the effort.
It's definitely in there, I'm not sure what it is, but if you at least told me what it does, I'll be forever indebted to you. It's hard to believe that they're using a compression other than SARC for directorys, so it has to be a single file. My guess would be that it's some sort of shader format, but without knowing whats in there, it's hard to write a unpacker, if it's even compressed and not just a proprietary format for shaders/textures/whatever.

Umm, SARC is not compressed files...It's hard to believe that they're using a compression other than SARC for directorys, so it has to be a single file. They're archives, that's true, but some archives also use compression whilst packing.Umm, SARC is not compressed files...![]()
Moist.39 ppl viewing this thread and noone got a word to say?????? weird!!!!!

Oh yeah, they don't. I'm dumb, was thinking of something else. My bad, lol. :/They never do.
Don't doubt me about SARC, I've been dealing with it for a long time.![]()
I would not say that you are completely wrong though.Oh yeah, they don't. I'm dumb, was thinking of something else. My bad, lol. :/
There are now some public exploits for FW 5.3.2, 5.4.0, 5.5.0, and 5.5.1.
There are now a lot of homebrew apps, a backup loader called loadiine.
You can use cheats with a program called TCP Gecko.
You can now load custom stuff(music, levels, whatever you want) with a program called Cafiine, it uses network to send files to your Wii U.
There is a Riivolution-like version called SDCafiine.
Long story short, you missed a lot of things, and a lot of drama...![]()

There are also Yaz0 compressed SARC files.I would not say that you are completely wrong though.

This tool has the ability to decompress ZLIB compressed SARC files. Although I don't know what game uses ZLIB compressed SARC files though
I was the beta tester from Project Trinux, if I not bad remember it was decided to stop development in the altered vWii mode with 3-core support because of a lot of limitations that were hard to supercede like RAM or full GPU support or max clock speed ,etc...Thanks for information
This is indeed lots of new stuff!
Out of curious because I thoght it is very interesting back then - is correct that there is no news on that Linux on vWii -> 3 core thingy by Max-something? (I hope it's even been a "Max" lol, I may be mistaken)
Because using Wii U as kind of media center or computer would have some good side
Is is out, still WIP or dead abandoned? Because I am too silly to find any news on it ...
