Hacking [Release] rxTools - Roxas75 3DS Toolkit [fw 2.0 - 9.2]

Other than the frustrating bootrate, I just tried generating xorpads and it crashed forcing a hard shutdown.. Decrypt9 worked fine on the same ncchinfo.bin. I think I'm done with rxTools for the time being. I'll still keep the 9/28 build that's on my O3DS, but this latest release won't be staying on my N3DS.

Same here, I'll stick with CakesFW, at least for the moment. I miss built-in region free but eh...

Strange. I just tried downloading the build from lavanoid and it installed immediately. Isn't the latest version on lavanoid the same as the latest one on https://github.com/roxas75/rxTools/releases page?

use sysupdater or do what i did because i live dangerously (that and sysupdater failed to use my files mutiple times)

aka go into system settings in Emunand if it shows RXE as system version then go to System Update in settings and update from nintendo

Less and just get on with it its a BETA from the QUICK AND DIRTY 9.6 Firm they pushed it out fast.
I thinkt he big hint on it not being complete is also the fact you have to supply your own keybins


The solution which everyone says if you read the thread is to just restart and try again it usually works the 2-3rd time

FINALLY got it to work after 10 tries or so, of booting it through homebrew launcher. Just keep trying, and don't replace the files again and again. Once it's installed, you can boot into it normally. I can even boot it through CTR boot manager with no problem now.

One thing I personally like about Rxtool's is it's built in Region free. It's all out Gateway + Rxtools for me. No worry about region. Though I learned how to look for region free since I had to use ReiNand for a while. Glad to be back home in Rxtools. I had to delete some out of region games because I couldn't bare to unwrap them every time I used region free patcher.

Blank icons means you installed a cia app to the NAND with FBI. You have to install it with a destination of SD. I'm not sure how to remove it without relying on restoring an emunand backup.

You can remove them with BBM.

You learn something new every day. I must've had a brain fart and used FBI on my emunand that day (sarcastic).
Welp, it worked and thank you.
Funny that ReiNand didn't detect this like rxTools did.

BTW, after having probs trying to start rxTools during installation and afterwards with menuhax, I switched to MSET and it boots like 99.9% everytime now.
Menuhax is fine, but I hate hangups, so I only use it when I need to (for miniPasta, Decrypt9, GW menu, etc).

I will not be using this new rxTools build on my O3DS, since the nightly I'm on works great already.
