I don't know why he'd be angry after announcing several dates, saying he never promised anything then backpedaling and going on some tirade about how selfless he really is when called out on the "it will be released before February, I'm sure of it" quote. Angry at himself for making promises he couldn't keep, maybe?

I think what many people fail to realize is that the system information which Hykem is documenting on the wiiubrew Wiki almost daily is far more important to the homebrew scene than the public IOS hack that so many are awaiting. Documenting all of the memory registers, system calls, and key structures is the real contribution. The information is what is truly valuable. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, but teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

Since the time he is in he hacking scene , it's surprising that he is angry about that.

I think it's logical no ? If releasing something to people doesn't make you happy or worst make you angry you can just threw them away.

I know myself personally I am on the fence about buying a 5.4 wiiu or keep waiting for soemthing that may never come. Some kind of definite update would be nice of course

Whatever you think Hykem should do or don't, I believe he's mature enough to decide for himself. Now I would really appreciate when I come to this thread I find actual useful information about Wii U hacking.

5.5.0 and 5.5.1 are pretty much the same, and YES, Hykem used Yellow8 entrypoint for IOSU, which exists in both firmwares.
