TitleID Vers. Description

I have mismatched versions when I use the downgrade check. I am on 9.2 and cfw loads perfect, however my ocd wants to fix this and I was advised by @zoogie to take the updates off the O3ds 9.2 pack. It seems to me however, these do not come in the N3ds 9.2 firmware pack. Zoogies advice seemed a little bit off because I know I could end up with a hardbrick by using o3ds firmware cias. Could anyone help me out please? I checked the iso site and grabbed my update packs from their.

TLDR:
N3ds 9.2 cfw works great
Frankenfirmare though according to downgradecheck
DGraded using 9.2 n3ds from iso site
dld 9.2 o3ds iso site for missing titles

No my advice doesn't seem off. New 3ds and and old 3ds share many titles.

Im taking your advice right now.I will use FBI installer and minipasta to install these titles.

FBIloader didn't let me install them. Doesn't seem like a good idea to use o3ds titles.

As long as you took only the missing files from the O3DS 9.2 pack for your N3DS 9.2 pack, that should have been fine. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend messing with SysNAND if it's already letting you boot into CFW: You'd be risking bricking yourself over something trivial.

If you insist, then check up on which titles you need to install to your N3DS 9.2 SysNAND, but be careful: I think there are some files that will brick you if your 3DS catches you modifying a file it shouldn't have...

EDIT: Wait, I'm dumb. The log you just posted are the exact titles that mismatch from a clean 9.2 sysnand. But still, be careful: the thing I said about modified file bricking might still exist (unless someone can confirm this isn't the case, but it's one of the reasons why JP N3DS users brick if they don't remove a specific .cia file)

FBIloader didn't let me install them. Doesn't seem like a good idea to use o3ds titles.

Except he's right. There's several titles that are shared between the O3DS and N3DS.

FBI won't replace system files, you must manually delete the existing title, then install it's replacement.

The downgrade check though is correct. Most problems are just coming down from > 9.2. I ran the downgrade check on a N3DS I had manually upgraded from 9.0->9.2 and there were no issues. There's a few posts on the subject if you look through my previous post history.

0004009b00010402 [You probably were missing this from your firmware pack as the version installed is from > 9.6]
0004001b00010802 [You probably were missing this from your firmware pack as the version installed is from > 9.5]
0004800f484e4841 [You probably installed the DS whitelist CIA]
0004013000001b02 [GPIO System Module) [was updated in 9.5.0-22] (You can find this file in the Old 3DS pack as it's the same]
0004013000001a02 [DSP System Module) [was updated in 9.7.0-25] (You can find this file in the Old 3DS pack as it's the same]
0004003000009e02 [Is an Amiibo title - extra due to Amiibo not being introduced until 9.3]
0004000000193000 [Did you install FBI to your sysNAND?]

Does it affect much? Not really.

Edit: For the curious types, the title list is pretty well documented over at 3DBrew

FBI is indeed installed to sysnand,it wouldn't let me replace the system titles though so I don't know if I should just add them and let sysupdater downgrade to 9.2 again. How would you recommend I proceed on installing these titles?

As I said above, you can't replace system titles via FBI. You need to switch to NAND, then delete title, and then scroll through the list until you find the title that matches, and then choose delete and confirm you want to. Then you can switch it back to install CIA and install the correct title. Make sure you have all the CIA's you need BEFORE starting FBI as backing out with titles missing can lead to bricks.

Highly suggest you have a NAND backup before doing anything and triple check the title IDs as many are similar.

You could also find the 4 files you need and run sysupdater again. Though you'd have to manually delete the amiibo title since it's an extra title. Also the DS Whitelist is your own decision. If you want it, leave it, if not find the corresponding title in your FW pack.

If it's working as is, I'd just leave it alone as it won't harm anything. If you decide to delete/replace them, just triple check everything, and do so at your own risk.

Found the feature to delete titles,it just seems like too much of a hassle for an OCD problem lol. I appreciate your help anyway,I just can't for the life of me understand why It can't just overwrite a simple title.

Mainly for safety. The old addage "Measure twice, cut once" applies. Take a look at Wii/vWii forums some time and you'll get a good idea why FBI probably does this. (Hint: Tons of fun when people leave folders of Wii IOS on their SD cards and install the entire directory)

Could I just add the troublesome cias and run sysupdater with mini pasta and redowngrade/upgrade with sysupdater? My OCD is kicking in hard but going title through title seems like asking for a brick as one simple miss click and its a brick. Just wanted to know if there was a sysupdater alternative.

If you can get minipasta up and running in your frankenfirmware, then yes. Obviously make sure you're NOT using the memchunkhax2 based one, as by its nature, it's rather unstable. If you can get the installable one installed to your sysnand and booted, that's probably the "safest" bet to fix it. I just fixed my frankenfirmware, and it wouldn't allow me to boot into this (I ended up re-running the memchunkhax2 based sysupdater, but I wouldn't advise this route unless it's an absolute last ditch attempt - if you've already got exploits working to the point that you can run emunand, just bite the bullet if you can't get minipasta working correctly for some reason).

All CFW's work for me and I have sysupdater installed in my nand. Would I hit upgrade or downgrade?Does it really make a difference?

Downgrade, and yes it does make a difference. Upgrade will likely fail out entirely.

doing this as we speak. Will post back asap.
