Hacking Official [Source Release] ReiNand CFW

Hey temp,

I have a weird issue, I can boot Reinand 3.1 perfectly fine but can't get to boot Reinand 3.2b :/ (black screen)

N3DS FW 9.0.0-20E on EmuNAND (just installed and set up EmuNAND + ctrBootmanager w/ menuHax yesterday)
What's wrong ?

years ago when i was writing bots and stuff for runescape lol. and RS private servers. I learned Java first, then learned everything else easily.

If your nands are unlinked you can change the theme on emunand without breaking menuhax.

Got another question, so I unlinked them just like in the video tutorial somewhere near the end. But he is straight booting into the pink menu where he can choose between reinand and the HBL. How can I do that? Couldn't find it? I need to hold L to get that

- He is holding L to boot into emunand, but at mine it goes to the pink menu where I can choose to go to. How can I achieve that?

- BTW can I update emunand to 10.5 now? I thought it worked, but asking to be sure..

CTRBootmanager has a boot.cfg file that you can edit to change things like enabling autoboot instead of having to select an option manually. You might even be able to enable it from the menu you get atm when you boot.

I recently updated my emunand to 10.5 via system settings, but when I went back into sysnand, all of my eshop games/extra data were gone (when unlinking, I formatted emunand, and kept sysnand and all of the eshop games/extra data on it). I looked on the memory card and it looks like the sysnand's id(?) was made the same as the emunand's, as there are now two folders in the sysnand's folder. I haven't attempted restoring the sysnand as it'll take a lot of work to reinstall menuhax, but I'm guessing that'll fix it? So essentially, I think that reinand might be messing with the sysnand when updating emunand through the system settings.

If your emunands are unlinked then nothing you do in or to emunand can fuck with sysnand. Period.

The whole point of formatting one of the NANDS to unlink it is to make them have separate IDs (and thus separate folders on the SD card). I honestly do not understand why people would want to set up an emunand and then format it so that all their crap stays on sysnand. The whole entire POINT of emunand is to leave sysnand alone and never touch it again.

It's pretty easy to learn, but damn hard to master. The object-oriented java thinking can be challenging at first but in the long run generates better output imo.

Now that i think about it, I did restore my emunand a little bit before that, so i guess it's possible i accidentally restored my sysnand at the same time, which would cause the above issues.

Assuming you used something like emunandTool to inject a backup of your emunand into the sd card, then it is not possible for it to have fucked with your sysnand or restored it in anyway. It sound to me like you misread a step somewhere and screwed up by not backing up the contents of our sd card during either the emunand setup (which formats the ENTIRE card to set up the partition needed for the emunand) or when you formatted emunand with system settings to unlink them, which iirc delete the N3DS folder from the sd card.

Best bet is to load the homebrew menu in some way and launch it from there. Though if you could launch the homebrew menu you could probably fix menuhax.

Is the boot.3dsx file still on your sd card? Is it for bootctr/ctrbootmanager or the hbl?

If so, try going to http://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax_auto.php to launch it.
