Hacking Spoofed firmware to 5.5.1 before running kernel exploit....

No. Spoofed only makes your system think that it's on 5.5.1. Internally, nothing changed other than the version that appears in settings

Thanks. I had to self host the exploit using mongoose. For some reason IIS won't work. Anyway is working now. I am having to run the exploit every time I start the wiiu. Is that normal?

That's normal, the exploits are only temporary. Maybe with IOSU we will be able to install permanent exploits, I am not sure if IOSU is all that's needed for that.
