Are you attempting to update the system to 10.3? for that you need to use this file https://gbatemp.net/threads/simple-guide-to-downgrading-your-3ds.407888/page-95#post-5923820 and it will work with both browser hax and menuhax
For downgrades use safesysupdater

Yes I'm still trying to get the 8 # in sysupdater, Unfurtunately, it's not possible to update with safesysupdater.
After reaching 10.3, I will downgrade to 9.2 I'm doing this second step because I brick my previous N3ds doing the downgrade from 9.6 to 9.2.

Try launching ftp pony, press b really quick then launch sysupdater. Its an odd little trick but it worked for me.

Good! and yeah use safesysupdater, its checks the integrity of each CIA before install.
Plus it installs native firm later on and not at the beginning like sysupdater

i see here that im suppose to update from 9.3+ to 10.3 but how exactly do i use sysupdater with a 3ds on 9.9?

You should update to 10.3.0 first with sysupdater from post 91 the last one. After that, you can downgrade to 9.2.

post 91 in this thread doesnt work its not a link and if you mean using sysupdater i mean how i have cubic ninja on hand

Cubic NInja is the best hax there is from smealum except its price, so far it works upto even 10.4. Yes you need hax 2.x to run these sysupdater.

Do you need to reinstall the homebrew after you downgrade? Cause I can't launch it...
