I was finally able to get RxTools to at least boot on my Old 3DSXL.

My SysNAND is 4.4.0-10U. I am currently using Gateway running EmuNAND 10.4.0-29U.

I can successfully boot to RxTools using the internet hack, and can load RX3D 10.4.0-29U.
Successfully replaced the Health and Safety app with FBI on both SysNAND and EmuNAND, but I have to boot into RxTools and go back to SysNAND before it will work in SysNAND. Works fine in EmuNAND.

Using FBI on both SysNAND and EmuNAND, I can install CIA files, but they crash in both SysNAND and EmuNAND.

I've installed the patched AGB jank after deleting the previous one, and have tried booting into DevMode from RxTools, but it still shows me OFW 4.4.0-10U, and GBA games refuse to boot.

When I tried to install DevMenu 6.2 on SysNAND, it installs, but hangs at the Nintendo 3DS screen.

Been at this for hours now and am at wit's end. I'd very much appreciate any assistance anyone could offer.

I just got a new Game Boy Micro and a new EZFlash cart for it. I don't need this at all. I just can't let a machine beat me.

What I find really strange is that I can open the Manual for the game, but not the game itself.

If I can get the manual to load properly, and if it isn't hanging on a Nintendo 3DS screen, would the new nightly fix it to where it actually worked? I'll try anything at this point.

I just installed the latest nightly. No difference. I'm sure I'm doing this correctly. I followed every step of every tutorial I've found.

I just followed this one to the letter:

http://hackinformer.com/2016/01/12/3ds-rxtools-tutorial/

I can boot into SysNAND, EmuNAND or DevMode/PastaMode. I can install CIA files on SysNAND or EmuNAND. GBA files simply refuse to boot, no matter what I've tried.

The one linked that you can actually download in that guide isn't the latest.

Six hours.

Six hours of failing. When I DO get this rassin' frassin carn-sarn a cotton-pickin' frattin hatten of a mod to work, I will be so sick of working on it I won't even want to play any games.

Could you please refer me to the most concise process you know of? I really don't care which method I have to use. As long as I don't have to reinstall all of the CIA files I installed to use on Gateway, I'll try anything you can recommend.

I was having simlar problems for the longest time as well hopefully this works for you. What i did is this:
1. boot sysnand with RX DEVMODE
2. open FBI, install gba cia to NAND also install it to SD(this is the part i think fixed it for me) Exit FBI
3. boot RX EMUNAND
4. open FBI install same gba cia to SD
It should now run in RX EMUNAND, I dont know why but for me installing it to the SD from the NAND and again in EMUNAND fixed it

'Database does not exist', when I tried to install it to SD.

I take it this means I need to have a blank title.db file and something else in the 3DS folder?

From what I read; "You likely haven't installed anything from eShop or other locations before. You will need to go to the "Nintendo 3DS/<id0>/<id1>/dbs/" directory on your SD card and create empty "title.db" and "import.db" files. Then, go to System Settings -> Data Management -> Nintendo 3DS -> Software on your 3DS and let it repair the database files."

But, if I go to System Settings and Data Management on SysNAND, that will erase all of the hundreds of CIA files I have installed, won't it?

So, if I already formatted my SysNAND, which I did, I should still be groovy to go into System Settings and Data Management on SysNAND using the same SD card, without losing all of my everything?

Sepatown. Going to give this one more try.

Edit: Well, everything is gone. Including my EmuNAND backup. It's been spinning on Resetting for about four minutes now.

It only allows me to reset the data from EmuNAND, but not SysNAND. I have gone into the Nintendo 3DS folder and replaced the existing files in dbs with the empty ones, but it does nothing on SysNAND.

Edit 2: Well, something I did worked. First three games I have tried installed correctly. I can boot them from Pasta Mode and RxMode, but when I boot to RX-E 10.4.0-29U, I get black squares, and the GBA games don't show up.

I got these to work by only installing them to the SD card of Pasta Mode, which I still have no idea how I got it to work. I can also boot into GWDS 10.4.0-29U with the regular DS Profile exploit, with neither squares nor games appearing.

So, they all show up in regular SysNAND, untouched, but I can't boot them, and the H & S app crashes as well. In Pasta Mode, RX-S 4.4.0-10UI can install to the NAND or SD, and boot anything, but now that has black squares as well.
