it's flexible, not a lot of force is needed to bend it to touch the border of the bottom screen. eventually a bit of dirt or whatever happens to be there and you end up with a tiny mark, with time the marks increase, the bottom edge usually gets the worst of it!

it's more for the people who assume they're safe if careful, not applying any protectors at all.

Every 3DS screen protector pack I've bought included one for both top and bottom screens... was this not common knowledge/sense?

Mine didn't, and they were officially licensed ones!

That package included bottom screen protectors, one each for DSi/XL/3DS/XL!

3DS was the one I needed...
3DS XL, gifted to a friend that had one...
DSi, fits nicely a Game Boy Pocket... :D
DSi XL, after some cutting fits the top screen of a small O3DS :)

If you use polyurathane bumpers on the top left and right of the top half, you do not need a screen protector to prevent marks on the top screen.

Is it just me or does the plastic of the 2DS screenlayer seem more scratch resistant than the base O3DS?
Comparing those models I own I would have thought the 2DS would be the more scratched up being exposed, but maybe they took that and the intended age range in consideration when choosing a material?

My O3DS has sunscratches from using a microfiber cloth to remove dust, but my 2DS has none and I clean that with whatever I have on hand.
