Hacking Hykem's 5.5 iosu Exploit

I didn't try to ping it or check it whatsover, but since the update is not getting through and i played online an hour ago, yes tubehax still works perfectly fine.

Should work...at least google.com can be looked up - didn't test more DNS names

EDIT: Also youtube.com is still pointing to TubeHax's server. There must be something wrong with your internet settings

EDIT2: And yes, ICMP (ping) seems to be dropped --> TubeHax DNS is not pingable. Anyways DNS resolving is working as it should

Thank you for your help, I should have guessed it was not pingable. I have no clue about what may be causing the problem since i didn't changed anything in my settings (107.211.140.065 set for primary and secondary dns). I'll check it back tonight after work

It was just a matter of time before this exploit was published. The Stagefright issue was widely publicized and tons of PoCs were published as well:

Anyway, yes, our 5.4.0/5.5.0 userland exploit is based on one of the Stagefright bugs, so, what yellows8 mentioned is accurate.

On a more positive note, if a new entrypoint for 5.5.1 is released the IOSU exploit for 5.5.0 itself will work on it as only the entrypoint (aka the Browser) was updated in 5.5,1

No you are fucked... The likelyhood of a new browser exploit (or any other userland exploit) being released for 5.5.1 is HIGHLY unlikely. It will most likely take at least 2 moths (at best) and about a year is probably the most...

PS. Setup tubehax DNS that way you won't update again.

Yep, returning your wii U to get a 5.5.0 or lower FW is probably best, but quite a hasle aswell XD
