Hacking Short noob question 2DS

Hi,
i have a short question.
I have a 2DS on firmware 9.9. and want to downgrade to 9.2.
So i need the right 9.2 firmware for the 2DS.
But i find only a firmware for the 3DS and the new 3DS.
Is there a separate firmware for the 2DS or can i take a firmware from the 3DS?

2ds is the same as OLD 3ds. You can download those and you're good to go.

Why make those assumptions? Maybe he wants CFW or the plethora of other advantages of having 9.2 firmware.
