Hacking To update or not?

Hi all, new Wii U owner here. I've recently started browsing these forums and decided to purchase the console, bought on Ebay. I got the Mario & Luigi Deluxe set and it's currently on 1.0.3U. I've read that 5.3.2 is the one that I want to be on, but other posts have said that earlier firmwares may have better possibilites in the future. Should I hold off and see how things fall or go ahead and update to 5.3.2?

+1, you still can play the new super mario u + luigi u, it will update to 3.1.0, its safe to stay there.

^ Basically this. Just buy/borrow MP10 or Splatoon, update offline, and you should be good to use Loadiine, or whatever you WiiU kids use nowadays.

Ok thanks guys. I was pretty sure about going to 5.3.2 but wanted to make sure before I did it just in case.
