During the install yes. Theres a certain part which writes to the NAND.

Chances of bricking from installing a legit .cia of a game is the same as the chances of bricking from downloading & installing a game from the eShop.

Yes it writes to ticket.db, yes if the 3DS was to power off or freeze as it writes to that file it could corrupt it. Could it render the whole system inoperable? No idea. Maybe you'd be able to boot into recovery mode and go from there, if it did render the whole system inoperable.

There are a lot of things that write to 3DS nand and everyone takes it for granted. But anything even just simple things such as installing custom themes with CHMM2 writes to the nand. Several games or system titles also write to the nand sometimes. etc.

Also, you might want to mention in the OP that depending on the CIA it can take a while.

For example, it took me from 15-20 minutes to install Alpha Sapphire

Done.

i'm able to install the legit cias on menuhax 2.1,
if i want to upgrade to version 2.5 how do i do that? do just need to copy-paste the needing file and replace the old installation or i need to uninstall it first?

anyway for the guy that keep getting install failed.
just keep trying, i'm being able to do my 1st cia instalation was after the 5th time

Keep restarting your 3DS. Same happend to me with MM3D and after restarting once it worked.

The exploit did not work. I had this error when fbi booted after the cleaning up stage. It must say done and then you press a
