I just got a new WII U with firmware version 1.0.2E and a super smash bros cd.
when i try to load the cd it says
ERROR CODE 157-1101
COULD NOT LOAD SOFTWARE.

i want to mod it also but cant find a mod for my version.

pls help and thank you

Hmm, when you say mod I'm assuming you want to hack it right?

I'm sure 5.5 is safe for hacking, but 5.3.2 can run backups
I recommend finding a game that can update you to version 5.3.2 and I
also recommend getting TubeHax if you want to spoof online

I'd place my bet on the fact that the Wii-U console is on too low of a firmware right now to play it.

What you will need to do is update the Wii-U to firmware 5.3.2. This should fix your Smash Bros problem, as well as allow you to mod your console successfully.

DO NOT UPDATE THROUGH THE WII-U ONLINE! This will put you on a further firmware than 5.3.2, and at this time, there is no exploit for the newest firmware (there is one in development, but it has no true release date).

To update your console without going online, you will need to use one of these games; Mario Party 10, Splatoon, or Yoshi's Wooly World. Simply delete all internet connections from your Wii-U (if you have any set), and then put the disc in and update. Borrow one of those games from a friend or rent it if you cannot buy them.

Just my opinion:

You don't need to update to 5.3.2. There are loadiine versions for 4.1.0 and 5.0.0/5.1.0 too.

If you want to update to 5.5 you should do it before the hack comes out..
Because after release the Nintendo patch isn't far away.

You could search for a game with a suitable update here

Maybe you bring your Wii to a second hand gameshop and play the game just for the update there. Most of the gameshop owners are cool guys and help you.

I wonder why there's no exploit ready for fw 5.2.0.
It's the Super Smash Bros update so I believe it's very common.

Sry no idea what you can do about this error code.
You could call Nintendo and tell them you have no possiblity to get the Wii online.
Maybe another member knows more
