You need to update because atm you have no entry points. Also browserhax won't work on 9.9 So just update.

Update ASAP, Install Menuhax using browserhax ASAP. Download Latest starter kit, and to use browserhax: Clear Web Browser save data, newly start browser, and go here: https://yls8.mtheall.com/spider28hax.php Homebrew Launcher must load. Install menuhax thru menuhax manager 2.1. Thru menuhax, goto eshop old version downloader, download ironfall 1.0. Install ironhax. There you go. Homebrew forever.

I'd recommend instead buying an Ocarina of Time cart instead, and staying at 9.9.0, because of the snshax downgrade possibility probably coming sooner than memchunkhax2.

Also, get a PowerSaves 3DS if you don't already have another 3DS that's hackable, because otherwise, you'd have no way to load the corrupted save onto the Ocarina cart. If you have a hackable 3DS, though, you can just use the Gateway boot files to write the corrupted Ocarina save onto the cart, even if you don't have a Gateway. Once that's done, you can use the Ocarina cart to boot *hax, then install menuhax. Then wait until 9.9.0 is downgradable.

Wait, what if I already have Ironhax?

Update, We have ThemeHax again! (Or HomeMenuHax? I forget what they're calling it these days) No need to do anything but use BrowserHax to get into Homebrew and install ThemeHax for a "permanent" solution.
(I say "Permanent" Because Nintendo managed to break BrowserHax previously without any update)

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
