Homebrew 3ds homebrew questions

ok im new to all this homebrew stuff. well sort of since i had homebrew on my wii so im kinda familiar with it.

im on 10.3.0.28u on my 3ds. ive used sky3ds to run cubic ninja and did the ninjahax hack

now i have homebrew and its all set up to ware i dont need cn no more. i want to know what else can it do. instead of playing emulators and all the basic stuff

i know theres more into this homebrew and i would love to learn to use it. i been looking around and i saw somthing that you can have CFW on there with these hax

im sure cfw is not ready as i seen people saying just waite it may come out but i would like to know what it is

if cfw is out ware can i get it

what all other cool apps i can install on here
some apps i have already are
play coin
blargsnes
homebrew browser
and apps that came with the homebrew starter kit

If you didn't already do so, install menuhax. The current homebrew scene seems to be emulators and just novelty at the moment, however there's a handy list of 3ds homebrew at gbatemp's wiki.

There's people more qualified than me to explain what CFW means, but in the basic sense it means "Custom Firmware". Some examples include cfw's that patch AGB_FIRM (is that the proper name?) which is the signature check, that allows piracy (CIA's).

If there is a updated CFW, it's either advertised here or in the Tutorials & FAQ section.

currently CFW is released not yet for 10.3, what the CFW does is it creates another replica 3ds HomeMenu where you can install titles kinda like WADS in the wii. If you want some emulators look at the RetroArch Emulators

thanks. i do have menuhax already installed thats what i ment by i dont need cubic ninja no more. for cfw i check into that later and i have looked threw the 3dsbrew list. most apps im so lost to installing them. there are a few i want to install but the instructions makes no sense to me

first app i tried was the fb43ds
i download the files place it in the 3ds folder in my sd card but its noware to be found when i load homebrew

another app i wanted to get and mess around was the download mii but im lost with that to. before i screw with the downloadmii what is that app for

at this point Yes with the CFW you will be able to play online if you use a legit Cart.

CFW is out, but downgrading you let you downgrade to a CFW compatible firmware. I think it would be worth doing but it's personal preference. It's high risk, can break your 3ds, and is more complex than homebrew.

As it stands now, no you will not have access to eshop without additional complex workarounds that I have not tried and don't know if they work (firmware spoofing, installation of latest NVER CIA, and they could quickly be patched by nintendo even if they do work).

for o3ds I believe if you have CFW you can update emunand to current FW version and have eshop access in emunand, but again, risky, alpha and beta software, and nintendo could change things any day to detect cheaters on their systems.

best rule of thumb is if you want your 3ds to play games, stay legit and don't mess with it. If you have a 3ds for hacking and learning GO FOR IT.

I have 2 n3ds's and I spend much more time on homebrew and emunand and just getting them working and keeping up with nintendo than I do playing any games. But that's what I got them for.

if i want my copy of ssb on sky3ds. is there an app i can use on homebrew to copy my game to the sd card so i can put it on my laptop then to sky3ds or do i have to buy one of those usb 3ds card reader from the r4i site

ok i figured it be hard. i know i can do it if i have a step by step guide but i only have 1 3ds. the system i have is the old 3ds xl. as for eshop ya i know i be needing that. i have heard sucktendo lol is taking the hacks away. i understand 1 reason. piracy. but its our systems leave us alone to hack them. there is 1 game i do have that i wish to go online. mario cart 7 (yes i pirate it). maybe when i get the n3dsxl i may cross the path for the cfw and the nine yards for fun. it also be cool to see how hackers can get online with a pirate game

you are over thinking this, With CFW you don't need Sky3ds and you can just get the Smash CIA and have it on the SD card in the 3ds and just transfer over the save
