People who are afraid of bricking, and don't understand how difficult it is to even brick are so irritating. And people take what Hykem said, serious about bricking. Damn noobs afraid of something that isn't going to happen when they have my help in the first place. I'm talking about friends of mine who so oblivious about it. They're just missing out

I understand what you are asking. Since it's Hykem's intention NOT to let users be in a TEMPORARY escalated state, his released exploit will -most likely- install the permanent patch when you run it from the web browser. That way, when you reboot, the hack will ALWAYS be running and won't brick your system if you try to run something without launching the exploit first.

To answer your question, because of limited space, you may need to launch the initial exploit first to gain system control, then run an app to permanently install it, but I'm willing to bet Hykem is trying to avoid this step to stop bricks/screw ups.
Nintendo could ever detect which consoles have this Permanent Exploit?
Because if they can do something like ban your console or something like that I would prefer a temporary Exploit.

Someone will make a safe way to play online, I don't think Nintendo will be able to detect things in the way you're saying,
Hope it's like the 3ds where online hackers are hard to detect, Nintendo still aren't that tight on piracy especially with a console that is dying in their eyes

Update from Hykem (we could have a "permanenet" exploit if this works out ! )

This is great news, Hykem is god, Mark your calendars guys!!!

January - Wii U exploit for 5.3.2 - 5.5
February - Loads of New Nintendo games (inc Fire Emblem FE, Bayonetta in smash)

There is no verification, online or otherwise, for that kind of thing. A future firmware could -possibly- do this, but since we will have emuNAND, the check could be completely patched out or just send modified responses. So this isn't really something to worry about, no. If they don't do it on N3DS which has better security, they won't do it on WiiU.

Oh snap, there WILL be emuNAND, Interesting

I would ask you to name your sources but I know you shall not reveal them :P

One thing I really fear with IOSU exploit being released soon is hackers who can finally spoof their identity online so they won't get banned which, in theory, is possible... Besides that I'm not playing that many online games anyways but still, this is to be expected nonetheless.

'Online' hackers? Cause yeah, that would suck balls.

I know that we already have them :P But at least NOW they can get perma-banned once they find them so yeah :D
I don't play wiiu much. Is it their nnid that's banned or the console. Cause if it's the console, I would think it would require a new 'legit' console key to get back online. Which is near impossible.

Well IOSU access enables a lot of things, if this is possible however I'm not sure since I'm not a direct Wii U developer/hacker.

But how would we install things to the home menu in the first place? Like what app?

Something like that already exists.

Hardware key spoof in emuNAND :p

wait, I have a 32GB USB Drive empty, that I'm thinking to use for WiiU loader for 5.5.0 if one does comes out, is it okay or I should buy again a 32GB SD CARD?
