My Wii had the homebrew channel, and had priiloader and bootmii (although I never did anything with them).

I wanted to give my Wii menu a custom theme (but I didn't no how). I went into a program called "Wii mod" from the homebrew channel and installed something called like "System Menu". It then turned into a black screen.

I unplugged my Wii but when I plugged it back in and turned it on the TV no longer received any signals from the Wii. It said to "check cable". Basically the wii wasn't sending out any A/V or Composite signals. However it did eject a disc.

Is there anyway to fix my Wii or did I mess it up too much?
PS: Also I now realize how dumb it was to install the system menu. It clearly was not a custom theme

Do you have Priiloader or a NAND backup?
To that extent, see what happens when you hold RESET then turn the Wii on while still holding the button. If you've gotten into some kind of menu, you're in luck. Otherwise, you'll have to hope you have Bootmii installed in boot2. Other than the singular disc drive flash when your Wii starts up, do you see any additional flashes? Try putting the bootmii files on the root of the SD card and see what happens when you start the Wii up.

If none of those work, then your only option would be to send it to a professional for hardware repair.

Also, as a last ditch effort, you could attempt to get into Recovery Mode using this method: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiimmortality-the-trick-that-makes-full-bricks-fixable.294029/
Most likely this will not work if your System Menu is missing but it's worth a try. Keep in mind that the best way to do this is to buy a SaveMii, but it can be attempted by holding down all 4 D-Pad buttons on a GC controller in the 4th slot. This requires disassembly of the controller, just google how to enter recovery mode. And if you do not have a GC-compatible Wii, you are out of luck.

Then you are unfortunately permanently bricked, unless you have a NAND backup which you would pay a professional to restore via hardware methods. Did you try holding RESET when the Wii starts up?
I did but there were no flashes and I can't tell if there was a menu because no TV signals

If your wii is on 4.3 and you don't have priiloader or bootmii then there's nothing you can do to fix it. If you have a NAND backup then you could give it to someone with tools to physically flash it back to the Wii but that's about it.
